I am devastated. 3 years ago, when my Dad died, a man at work held my hand through the entire ordeal. He went on to become one of my favorite people on this planet..Sort of a surogate father. My husband and I became close to Jeff and his wife, they became very close friends. Whenever something would bother me, I would sit and talk to Jeff at work, and he would do the same with me. He is 17 years older than me, but frequently it felt like we were the same age.
Jeff has been so proud of his kids! He had some problems with the oldest when he was younger, but he really straightened up, graduating from college and landing a great job. He also was getting married next weekend.
Saturday night Jeff's son tried to swim across the Kalamazoo river. He drowned, and they did not find him until Sunday afternoon. My God...I can't imagine..
I am hurting so badly for my friend right now, I am crying while I write this. This wonderful family that I love has been torn apart. I don't know what to do..I don't know what to say..All I know is that I hurt so DAMN bad right now.
Please guys, pray for them

Oh my . . . . That is terrible . . . No parent should outlive their child.

I don't know what to say either . . . . I will keep their family and your's in my thoughts and prayers . . . . We are here if you need help or a shoulder to cry on.

Oh my gosh....I cannot even imagine what they must be going through. You know we will be praying for them! Let them know that they have a lot of prayers and support coming to them from here.

I will pray for them and for their lost loved one. At this time of trouble it best to place your faith in God and realize that nothing happens without reason and that God will never give a person more than they can handle.

Thank you guys for your support. I only hope I can be half as supportive to my friends.
All of you with kids..Give them an extra hug tonight. I know I will. My son is the most precious human being on earth..I would die myself if something happened to him.
