OMG!!!! I can't even believe it!! My little boy wanted a Wii more than anything for Christmas. They are the hot item this year, people are freakin' camping out for them. We were so upset, Andrew is so good, he gets perfect grades, and he is the light of our life. He deserves a Wii, and we wanted to give him one. We thought there was no way in hell we could. But we got one!!! And we didn't even have to camp out! My husband happened to be by the loading dock at walmart when the line started to form..He didn't even know the truck was coming! They got 10 wiis, and my husband was 3rd in line! OMG, I can't WAIT to see the look on Andrew's face on Christmas morning!

LOL, I know..we are going to be the cool house now. I like the games on Wii, we talked about xbox 360, but most of those games you blow heads off. This is better for his age.

I love our Wii. They are perfect for kids and family games. So interactive. They are still sold out in my city. One place is getting some on Monday but the next shipment in for other stores is in January!

I am sure you so is just going to love it! If you have a Game Stop in your area you may be able to stock up on used games in perfect condition at a reasonable price.

In our area they have not been able to keep a WII in stock since last Xmas. My husband happened to be at Walmart about 4 months ago and they had 2. Both him and another customer bought them as soon as they saw them. The associates had said they had already gotten 10 phone calls with people on the way to pick them up.

I know that Circut City will hold one for you if they have one in stock and you call. They will also look up in surrounding Circut cities to see if they have any avaliable and place a hold as well. We drove across 2 cities to get ours in April.

I'm so glad we got one! we do have a gamestop, and we've already gotten a game much cheaper than a new one. We did buy Super Mario Galaxy brand new, though. Is it true that you can play Game Cube games on it?

I can't wait!! My husband wanted to open it and play it while Andrew was in bed the other night..I said NO WAY!!! We're going to have a great time.

That is wonderful my husband wants the playstation 3 but my 14 year old nephew said he should buy the x-box according to his friends the playstation 3 has too many glitches in it.

It's amazing how much kids know about all of these electronic gadgets we have now Smile

I am excited for your son he will be in 7th heaven on x-mas.

fins - I just got ours the other day - it was on the porch when we got home (which didn't make me too comfortable, I think I may have been speeding to get home to be sure it was still there!). I told my youngest that's the LAST time he gets to ask "Santa" for anything that expensive...Santa may be magical, but he has to have a budget to get things for all the other boys and girls in the world!! You can play you Game Cube games on it but you are going to need to get some sort of converter. You can pick it up at WalMart and I don't think it is that expensive. You can also get games from online as well.

Fins - I actually had some guy yell at me today at Wal Mart in the parking lot as I was unloading my cart...."DON'T YOU LET THAT CART HIT MY TRUCK!!" I very calmly smiled at him and said "It's not going to hit your truck." Then wished him a Merry Christmas and left my cart parked in front of his d*mn truck after he walked away.

Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Sorry, those kind of people just tick me off.

When my daughter got her Wii for Christmas last year-I didn't really pay mind to it because I am not a big video game fan. I seen her and daddy playing Tennis and I jumped on. Oh man-I have been hooked ever since! I am not into all the games like they are but the sports is freakin awesome! I bowl, I play tennis, I Box like I know what the heck I am doing. It is a workout too!

Since we are trying to save $$$ to knock out debt-we do family night and compete in the sports. It is great.

Yes, you can play gamecube games on the Wii. In fact from what my daughter tells me, they are phasing out the gamecube system and the games. You will see they are not around like they use to be in stores. The Wii is replacing it out.

HAVE FUN! Laughing
