The feel sorry for myself thread

I'm grumpy. I'm tired, and my back hurts. The thermostat in my car broke, and I have no heat in it. My husband is going to put a new one in today, but not till he gets home, so I have to drive without heat. I have my first race of the season next weekend, and it's supposed to be 10 degrees that day, with snow. I can't find my little boy's rocket football sweatshirt, and he is really upset about it. The dog is in heat. My husband got wood chips all over the floor bringing in wood last night, and guess who gets to clean it?

So I just needed to b!tch a little. Plus, we haven't had any good food threads lately, so I was hoping I could turn this into one. When I am crabby and feeling sorry for myself, I crave. And I crave bad. Maybe talking about it will help me.

I want the biggest, nastiest, messiest burrito I can find. With tons of low grade meat, no beans, lettuce, onions, jalapenos, cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, black olives, and guacamole.

Yea, the dinner thread went into retirement Sad

When I am having those days (seems like more often lately), I go get a loaf of fresh french bread, real butter..then sit down with some chardonnay and go to town!

My daughter and hubby left at 8am to go to her mock trial competition and dishes have been sitting in the sink for days.. SOOOOOOO...guess who is going to do them? I am sick of seeing them.

OMG, Vol..That looks so damn good.
You know what else would be good? Garlic breadsticks dipped in Alfredo sauce..

Here's what I'm making for dinner:
I am roasting a bottom round...I had it marinating all night to make it tender. When it's still nice and rare, I will slice it VERY thin. Then, tonight we'll have it on french rolls, with muenster cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato and onion. On the side I will make chili cheese fries with sour cream and green onions. What will be better than that?

Karen, for sandwiches, I use either Italian dressing or STUBBS marinade. It's really great, it turns a cheap cut of meat into someting really tender. I love it, because I can take a $6.00 roast and make it absolutely scrumptious. I do this to make burrito meat, too, for that I use taco seasoning, taco sauce, and green chilis and do it in the corck pot.

The problem when I make them,..everyone grabs them as soon as I get them off of the skillet one by one and then everyone is full from tortillas only! Laughing
