I have read a lot of the posts here and I feel retarded even posting anything. My problem isn't severe, yet. At least I don't think it is.
I have 2 IPDLs and I live in Florida.
1. Cash Net - $200 - pd 103.00
2. Cash Spot - $300 - pd 37.5 (when I signed on with them I thought the finance charge was $37.50, then they sent me an email saying that was a one time offer and that my new finance charge wouldbe $75.00, that's when I knew I had to get off this train.)
I had one with ameriloan - $350 - pd $600 - they got my final $65 today.
I called Cash Net and Cash Spot and arranged to send a moneygram for $50.00 to each today. Due to a problem with my paycheck I don't have the money to do so. I don't know if I should call them or what.
I also got an email from Cash Net today saying they were going to take out the $251.73 on 11/20 as we agreed upon. I didn't agree to that, 11/20 is not even my payday and I had arranged another payment, but now can't make it.
Cash Spot has already called me at work and given me a friendly reminder today. And when Iasked Mr. Brown for a physical mailing address for a money order he said they prefer moneygrams, even after I told him I didn't know if I could afford to send anything let alone another 11 bucks for the gram itself.
I think I am going to have to close my bank account on Monday, even though I don't want to tell my work to re direct my deposits. I don't want them to think I am in financial trouble. I can't even think of what I'll do if they start calling my work and telling co-workers what's going on.
When I look at how much I owe, it doens't seem that bad, it's just the damn finance charge.
Anyhoo, I'm glad I found this site. Glad to know I am not alone and I appreciate the opportunity to vent my little story.

I'm sorry Carrie...and one pdl is as bad as 10! So don't apologize...this is how it starts and then you take another to clear the ones you can't pay and on and on till your buried. It's a good thing you are getting out now. Can I ask....are these both internet loans??

I too had to close my bank account and open a new one. It is not as bad as it seems. It is much better than having those places have access to your money. It is well worth it. I got paid friday and was so excited to see all of my paycheck and not just a very small minute amount left over.

carrie, in Florida the pdl must be licensed in Florida to be considered legal. I know ameriloan certainly wasn't & you overpaid them BIG TIME. This is going to happen with the other two that you have. I have a question - the Cash Net pdl - is it CashNetUSA or just Cash Net? That will make a difference. Also, regarding closing your bank account, do not be embarrassed. Just tell your employer someone stole some of your checks (or whatever) and you had to close your account and open a new one. Get your pay via paper check for awhile until you can get it direct deposited into your new account if need be. And, morningstarr is right. Two pdls is just as bad as 10 pdls. They all do the same thing - debit your account as long as possible. You might want to look into filing complaints against Ameriloan. I know you're "done" with them; however, you have overpaid by quite a bit.
