phone #
877-564-7738 - my husband took out a loan from them last week. We called them at this number and told them we wanted to pay off in full this week - tomorrow. We got an email from them reminding us of this arrangement and since we were so short on cash, took them up on the offer of just paying the fee this week. Now, I guess we'll see whay happens next week.....

NO WRITTEN DOCS PERIOD - WATCH OUT
This company is absolutely unbelievable - I took out $200 loan, paid the $59 "extension" fees for two+ months - amounting to $581.00 - the deal with these people is that the $59 fee is automatically renewed and deducted each week - leaving you owing $259 should you decide to pay it off - the problem is, you need to call them 3 days in advance - in other words, by Tuesday the week you decide to pay it off - and it's not for hte principal - you pay the $200 loan ++++the $59 "fee" - still haven't found out exactly what that is really for yet....anyways - I lucked out - after being told that they would NOT ACCEPT my payoff of the $200 balance on my account, I informed them that I therefore REVOKED their authorization to withdraw ANYTHING from my account and promptly put a block on their company ID with my bank while I did some research. Fortunately Nevada has exceptionally good consumer protection from these sharks - for one, they must be licensed, must provide written copy of contract with terms - THIS COMPANY WILL NEVER SEND YOU A COPY OF ANY DOCUMENTS PERTAINING TO YOUR LOAN - EVER - and they are NOT allowed to put in a clause that states you agree that they can garnish your wages, THAT IS ILLEGAL FEDERALLY AS WELL! I got in a bad place and needed this money to hold me for a week - the problem is, that they kept taking the $59 fee every week, leaving me with not enough to take care of my bills, etc, and wouldn't let me make any kind of partial or alternate payment to get my balance down - it was all or nothing - and all wasn't an option - or my kids go without food. I see all of the posts saying to stay away from payday loans - that's fine and good to say when you don't need them and aren't in the place we've all been in - well, ultimately the NV NRS states that if any contract is made that includes the assignment of wages, etc, or isn't provided in writing, etc, that the CONTRACT IS VOID AND THE COMPANY IS NOT ENTITLED TO THE PRINCIPLE, INTEREST, OR ANY FEES COLLECTED. I faxed them the copies of all of that info -along with my cease and desist on phone calls - which they're now up to 7 today - all from different numbers, no messages left, etc. NEVER AGAIN!

OMG - I just got a loan from Route 66 and it's due on Aug 10
What do I need to do? I've called their 1800 # like I was instructed over the phone when I received my $200 loan (you have to leave name and social on answering machine). I want to pay this in full before they stick it to me. Should I close my account now or wait and see if they actually follow my instructions and debit the full amount due? What have I done.....

big pain
First I know I got myself into this mess and with several different lenders. The biggest problem I have is with Route 66 Funding they called me and i sent up a first payment towards settling the debt and they told me to call them if there would be a problem and when I called them I got a woman that I couldnt understand so I finally hung up and tried to call back. For the next 2 1/2 days I couldnt get an answer. When they went to debit my checking account they did it in 4 transactions. I put a stop payment on them which cost me $80. They then called me at work which I had told them not to do on one other time. They said ok then called me at work again the next day at the same time. I told them not to call again. That night when they called I told them TO NOT CALL ME AT WORK and I got the address that was posted here. I dont know how quickly I can get any money to the different poeple as the overlimit fees and stop payment fees from the bank have put me in a huge hole where I couldnt pay other bills. Any ideas or advice? I have sold almost everything that I have to gain extra money....

Loan
Yes! I got a loan from them and not knowing that I have to pay $79.00 out of every pay check? When I finally spoke to a person they spoke so fast I could not understand them? I did not sign anything and I stoped them also from taking funds out of my account. These people thrive on people's hardships and do not care about trying to make reasonable payments to pay them back?

Route 66 Funding
I had recently applied for a payday loan and they told me that a lender will send me an email and call the number that I left on the application. When I got the email of who would lend me the money, I researched it. Thanks to this I was able to see that they weren't a good company to go with. The gentleman called and I said that I had changed my mind and didn't want the loan. He kept rambling on and on about all these specials of no interests and fees. After telling the man to shut up, he informed me that I had to call another number. I called the other number and told them that I didn't want the loan. They called me three more times that night and I told them that I was going to turn them in for harrassment. Thanks for posting comments or I would have been a sucker!!!

Route66 Funding
I finally put a stop payment against this company. The bank advised me that they put in a code that would keep them from debiting any more money from my account..You may want to check with your bank about this procedure..This was done on monday and so far I haven't heard anything from the company...I am just waiting for them to call..I am printing all of these messages on this sight and keeping them to send to the Ohio Attorney General..I think if everyone works together we may be able to put these people out of business..

these people are a scam. i finally closed my account with my bank and reopened another account. i am also filing bankruptcy and these people keep calling me threating check fraud. i have emailed them with my attorney's name address and phone number but get no response. i had a phone number for the where they kept calling me but it has been disconnected. my lawyer cannot even find a address or number for them. please be careful using this pay day loan place. my advice to everyone is dont allow any of these places to take money out of your account. they all charge outrageous amounts every week. i almost got myself in trouble with these places but i included them on my bankruptcy. i will never use any of these internet places again.

I must have been lucky because 2 months ago I took out a total of 3 loans, and although the fees were unreal I had no choice. I was fortunate to get through on the 3 day limit and pay all the loans off. They even called me on one instance when I forgot to call and reminded me to pay off the balance. Are all of yall only having problems when the payments are past due or from the start?
