HSBC phone calls

HSBC (household bank) is one of my accounts that is with T&C. T&C has sent them a proposal, they denied it,etc. Anyway they have come to a monthly payment agreement---but my question is this "How long will HSBC continue to call me about my account?"

Its like they have the information and they still ask if I can't make a small payment. I said no, as that would be defeating my purpose. Do you think they will continue to keep this up? I am getting tired of them calling or is this just part of collections procedures?

I have HSBC too - and with T&C. They didn';t get payment on time and they dropped me calle me and I told them I was with debt management. I called T&C and they got HSBC to get me nback on the program. The payments are due on the 18th and HSBC received payment on the 21. So I asked T&C to make sure they pay HSBC on the first of the month. I pay T&C bi-weekly. They are jerks- some of them are ok to deal with - some are not especially the men.

I had T-mobile ringing my phone at least every 2 days until I paid the account off. (Which took 2 months to do.) And every time I told them, "I've already made payment arrangements."

Well, that is really odd considering they seem tohave nothing else to DO but call people.

lgall, that's almost more than a year!! Have you asked your debt management company about the status of the HSBC account? You must inquire if your account is getting paid or not. Request your debt management company to ask for the itemized statement from HSBC.

Well I found out why HSBC is calling me incessantly. They said they will not accept a proposal from T&C until I am current with them. They confused me so much that I agreed to pay them $50 by the end of this month. I feel like they are playing games here but they intimidate me so easily that I can't think straight. Does this sound right to any of you that are using T&C?

Oh yeah that's how they work, it's ridiculous. We have 3 accounts with them and I cannot wait until they're paid off. Have T&C call them and get it worked out, I know that T&C can help you.

Well do you think I should call tomorrow and cancel the payment arrangement? Or talk to T&C first. These lousy (choose your favorite expletive) got me on the wrong day for sure. I hung up the phone and cried for 15 minutes (which makes me even madder that I couldn't think straight).

If you can swing it I would just keep the payment in place and also call T&C to tell them what's going on. I know I've paid them a couple of times some extra $$ just so they would stop calling if the payment arrangement fell off. Don't stress yourself out about it they are not worth it. Sometimes if they get too pushy I just push back or hang up and call them back.

My dealings with HSBC: They too called incessantly. Have taken me off the DM program twice. They keep charging me over the limit fees, sometimes twice a month. Am trying to get them under the limit, but they keep adding these stinkin' fees and now I'm up to about $180 OTL.

Had a woman call me in May wanting a payment. They said they didn't get a proposal from T&C. She was very condescending. She wanted $30. She says, "We're not talking a lot of money here." I told her, to me, $30 was a lot of money. "I'm sorry", she said. I told her I could pay on the 23rd. "What happens on the 23rd?", she asks. NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! To make a long story short I made arrangements to pay $30 and they charged me $30 overlimit fee so I made no headway whatsoever. I decided I needed the $30 more than they did. They haven't called me in June. T&C is taking care of it. Don't know if I'm on the program or not. I do know they're still charging me OTL fees.

Sorry for the long post.

I have them listed with my debt settlement program. I'm hoping they can come to some arrangments soon because I realize they are sue happy these days. I was able to removed an old medical bill of my husband's from our debt settlement program this week because it went to a CA. My husband called them as was able to settle the debt for half on his own. We are making six monthly payments to the CA and things will be taken care of. Fortunately, we will be able to keep the payment to the debt settlement company the same so this may shorten our program a little bit. I'm waiting on a new worksheet from them now.
