Depends upon the company you are claiming to get the refund from? If there is a legitimate proof about the excessive payments done, company might refund but that involves a lot of time and patience. While some people get success in getting the refunds quite easily, many spend a lot of time writing letters and sending money. It seems like opening a can of worms for getting the refunds. I read some of the experiences here.

I received a refund check from Rio Resources today for $585.00. Still have two others I am trying to get refunds from.

Can someone send me more information on the letters you are writing to do this? I would settle for them just forgiving my loans, and I would be out from underneath this mess! I live in Texas by the way.

Go to the Blogs portion of this site and click on pollyandsay. There is a template there, you will need to change some of the information within to pertain to your state laws. I am not sure where you can locate your state laws, but I am sure someone else here can help. You may also be able to search this site for Texas laws.

First check whether the lenders have charged the loan amount within the permissible interest rates. Know the laws in Texas in the links attached below. If you find the charges done excessively by your lenders, write letter mentioning the laws and claim for a refund.
