I ran across an interesting read at Consumer Affairs, Credit Bureaus: Biggest Threat To Your Identity
While not technically "right", I really don't have all that big of a problem with CRAs getting you to purchase their product before they do anything. But, I do believe that my money should put me on an equal footing with businesses that report when it comes to disputes, providing proof, whose word they take, and so on. Basically, I've paid for that access just as they have.
