This is not the case you cannot call anyone at 12:00 pm and tell them to have over a 1000 by 5:00 or you will go to jail. I am filing a complaint with my bbb because this is unexusable for them to act like this. I did not borrow half the money that they want.Is this fair in the state of NY? They called my office this am and threaten me again.

I am sorry that you have to go through this harassment. Now I am pretty sure that you know that those payday loans were not worth all of this extra stress.
But, I would also like to inform you that you do have rights and this collection agency is offending your rights by making these threats to you.
There is a part of Fair Debt Collections Act called False Statements. The collection agencies are not allowed to make False Statement to you when collecting debts.
A false statement includes, Jail time. They are not allowed to threaten you with jail time. In addition, they are not allowed to accuse you of being a criminal and threaten you with arrest. This clearly constitutes harassment.
So, I would advise that you take records of these threatening calls and present them for a lawyer for a potential lawsuit. They are not allowed to threaten you in this way and you should teach them a lesson through a lawsuit.
In addition, you can stop this company from calling you at work. If your work does not allow this sort of call, you should contact the collection agency in writing to tell them not to call you at your place of employment. They must stop calling you at work after this letter.
