It's always the people in deeper then anyone else that place judgement on others...I have to say for the most part everyone on this site has been very informative and supportive of one another...it's only the few people who come in and open their big stupid mouths that ruin it! Of course all those people calling us deadbeats are probably employees of Ellis, and need us to get their paychecks...too bad huh???

joyh, you should use your consumer rights as per the fdcpa law asking for the debt validation, send them a cease and desist letter, file complaints at the BBB, Florida state attorney general office and request urgent action.

You can also record all the telephonic conversations and present it to your lawyer.

I hope that these preventive actions will make you and your co-workers stronger. Read this forum carefully to know your other legal weapons. It will be helpful.

"hey deadbeats !! just pay your bills!! stop looking for a way out. you got a loan on your own free will.learn some responsibility in your lives.dont teach your kids to be deadbeat debtors!!!!"

Either you work for Ellis or you're a Collector...or you just support the Nazi-like regime. The harassing slander-filled allegations from these "companies." They are NOT productive members of society...just cretins. No money from my purse will ever reach their lying, greedy, grimy hands.

These people writing in and calling us deadbeats are the ones who should take their own advice! NONE OF US ARE TEACHING OUR CHILDREN TO BE DEADBEATS! EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES!!!! I strongly urge none of you to pay these idiots any attention at all...They are probably just panicked Ellis Employees wondering how the hell to file for unemployment...Again, just ignore them!

If anything, hopefully our children can LEARN from our mistakes! I will certainly teach my future children about the problems of debt and money!

My husband hab a payday loan and they screwed up our account trying to take out more than they were suppose to so I stopped the payment and changed my account. They ahve called several times and threatend us with internet fraud. But I am ahead of them and have the conversation recorded. How do we file a suit against them and what kind would we file?

I also went through the same thing on 8/23. I received a call from ellis crosby & assoc and was told if I didn't have a payment of 1,000.00 for my payday loans wire to them by 3:00 I would be arrested for fraud and better get myself a good lawyer. I received this call at work and was so emotionally panic stricken thought I was going to have a breakdown. at that point, I left work to borrow money to have this paid off. I had every intention of paying back my loans, but when you end up paying three times as much something needs to be done. At least I know I am not alone in this

Ellis Crosby called yesterday, threatening me and threatening to sue my company. This was the first time they have called. The first thing he said was "do you want to talk about it now or would you rather talk about it downtown?" After I hung up with him, I searched for information on his company and found this site. So I faxed over a request for debt validation last night and also requested that they do not contact me at work and he called again today. What do I do? I'm afraid he will call my boss.

Hi lovestulips

Please do not worry about this call. Ellis Crosby will be shut down very soon as they have class action lawsuit filed against them.
