I got the same treatment from an employee at Ellis, Crosby and Associate, his name is Paul Epstien,
he had me so upset that I had to leave work. He threatened to have me brought up on felony fraud charges unless I paid $600 within an hour, he threatened to get my Job involve and said i would lose my job unless I followed his rules. he even called another person I worked with and suggested she talk to me and tell me how serious this issue was and that I needed to call him back ASAP,
After telling him not to call me at work he continuously did, fortunately for me he gave me his Fax # and I sent a letter to this rude s. o. b. Telling him how he was violating my rights and i have already filed a complaint with the BBB and will be filing a complaint with Federal Trade Commission.
He totally voilated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. First of all he is not a Judge, he cannot pass judgement on me with out a trial, second he has to stop calling should you tell him, you will lose your job due to calls, he can not contact anyone other than myself about the debt, most of all he can not threaten loss of employment, arrest, or jail time.
I called Mr. Epstien back and told him he would not be getting any money, that if needed he should go ahead with any legal action. i simply do not care.

Ellis and Crosby says they are lawyers ( when they are just a collection agency) and they have been threatning to pick me up within an hour, if i cant pay right away. ELLIS and Crosby thinks i am a HABITUAL offender because the loan comapnys are screwing me. But what they dont realize is that these loan companys are charging extra if you dont pay ontime. My orginal amount was $200, Ellis and Crosby racked it up to $560, just so they could file a suit aginst me. Its like they are doing it on purpose. GOOD THING I WORK FOR A LAWYER, and i have been informed.
THERE IS NO DEBT COLLECTION PRISON!
Ellis and Crosby has threatned to make me loose my job, and talk to my boss about it. In texas they cannot garnish wages without a court order. And they have totally violated a law.
