Default Ellis Crosby And Associates

Special Announcement: Ellis Crosby and Associates are not following fdcpa so if you are getting phone calls from their agents, please handle with care. Signup for free counseling and handle all problems associated with Ellis Crosby and Associates smoothly.

I had gotten some payday loans, and i was unable to repay them as quickly as the loan companys would like. The intrest rate is 600% or more!
Ellis and Crosby says they are lawyers ( when they are just a collection agency) and they have been threatning to pick me up within an hour, if i cant pay right away. ELLIS and Crosby thinks i am a HABITUAL offender because the loan comapnys are screwing me. But what they dont realize is that these loan companys are charging extra if you dont pay ontime. My orginal amount was $200, Ellis and Crosby racked it up to $560, just so they could file a suit aginst me. Its like they are doing it on purpose. GOOD THING I WORK FOR A LAWYER, and i have been informed.
THERE IS NO DEBT COLLECTION PRISON!
Ellis and Crosby has threatned to make me loose my job, and talk to my boss about it. In texas they cannot garnish wages without a court order. And they have totally violated a law.

I am glad that you are informed about the laws regarding fair debt collection. They have no right to treat you in this manner and you do have the power to do something about it.

First, you should contact a lawyer to see how they can help you take care of this menace once and for all. One way that you could help your case is by taking down a record each time that they call. be sure to find out who you are talking with and the time that each telephone contact occurs. Take notes of what occurs during the conversation and any threats that are made on their side.

Finally, you may already be aware that you do have the power to make them stop calling you. All you have to do is send them a letter stating that you do not wish to be called anymore. However, you have to be aware that your debts will not go away, only the harassing phone calls. So if you do this, you would have to be responsible with paying your bills on time without the harassment.

Ha ha. That is great. Thanks for informing us. They are trying to hide from their own actions. Now that they have been exposed, they may learn their lesson. They may pull back on their draconian tactics.

And we will continue to keep their address up so people will continue to have unlimited access to their address. That is what this thread is for. To provide a level playing filed for the consumer.

Default website is gone

It says it is under reconstruction, do you think something is happening with them? They haven't called me yet, but my payday loan company sent my file to them because i put a stop pay on my loan. I am nervous about them calling me, and dont want to pay them

The funny thing is that I cant even find the site anymore. I even tried to goggle them and I only got this site instead. So they might go to extreme measures and try to change their P.O. box.

But no, I doubt that a mass of complaints would bring a collection company down. unless they are really small and fledgling. if this trend is true, they may expect a barrage of lawsuits, but i still think that they will be around.

Is there a reason why you don't want to repay your payday loan? Because your credit will come out as the victim, not Ellis and associates. So you should try to get this payday loan out of the way. if they haven't sent it to the collection agency yet, try to see if you can consolidate that debt so you can repay it and maintain your credit. If they have sent it to collections already, try to see if a deal could be worked out where you could consolidate. It is still early so you may have hope to do this.

But in the future, I would advise you against these payday loans. The interest is too high and it is not worth sacrificing your hard earned pay to feed a few loan sharks.

No I tried to call the company that sent it to them, FSM Processing and work it out with them but they said if I sent them a payment, they would just send it back to me and would not accept it because my file is now with Ellis, Crosby... should I call this collection agency and pay them, my loan is for $450 but yet I see that they want twice as much when you call... what should I do?

Are you serious? Twice as much? You see, this is how they profit off of us. Your best bet is to pay it off ASAP because they will be tacking on fees and any kind of tariff they could find. In addition, it will be ruining your credit in the process. And I don't think that it is worth it for $450.

So just eliminate this debt if you are capable of paying it. Because if they could go from 450 to 1000 dollars they, could just as easily go from $450-2000. You do not need this small debt to become into a monster. Get rid of it. And get this collection agency out of your hair.

You can enroll yourself in a debt consolidation program with this company at the sign up page, let the consultant deal with your payday loan agency, and get this amount reduced by eliminating the financial and the late charges.

This is understood that this debt is to be paid but not to the extent the payday loan company demands...So the consultant will do professional negotiation for you and set a reduced payment plan.

Please enter your contact information at the sign up page to get in touch with the trained consultant in your locality.

Well the best thing that I could recommend is that you try to consolidate that debt through a debt consolidation program. This program will negotiate with this creditor in order to lower the interest rate on this debt.

But I am really not sure how this $450 became $1000. So you have to check to see what kind of fees were tacked on. If they are late fees or collection fees, I don't know if consolidating will do much to bring it down from $1000.

So your best bet now is to call the collection agency and see if you can consolidate. If you feel that they are not giving you a straight answer, then call this consolidation company so they could serve as third party negotiator to reduce the interest on your debt.

The number is 877-No-debt-8.

Default Ellis Crosby

Ellis Crosby called my job and left several message like I am some kind of criminal also they tacted are under handed stating they are lawyers and they are going to put me in jail, etc. Yes I did borrow money from the payday loan company but they screw up my account by trying to take out 600 extra that I never borrow and had me in all kind of debt with my bank. I live in NY and now they are threating to have me arrested because they saying I do not want to pay. This is not the case you cannot call anyone at 12:00 pm and tell them to have over a 1000 by 5:00 or you will go to jail. I am filing a complaint with my bbb because this is unexusable for them to act like this. I did not borrow half the money that they want.Is this fair in the state of NY? They called my office this am and threaten me again.

Hi mjd

Definitely you should file a complaint against this company with the FTC as they have gone against the rules laid down as per the fdcpa laws
