AmyF,

What reason did your attorney give you for saying you cannot collect from MMG until your bankruptcy is finalized? An attorney told me filing bankruptcy has not to do with getting your money back from a company that did not do the service they were paid to do. You should complain to the senators in your state and the FTC and the Attorney General of Texas and the Texas Department of Banking since Texas is now where MMG is now located. Do not stop trying to get a refund from them.

When I said I complained everyday... I did it via email to every email address I had, and I cc'd her attorney every single time (at least 4-5 times daily). I will post all email addresses I have shortly... I have to get them from my email account...

Okay, I emailed every single email address every time... at least 4-5 times daily. She threatened to sue me for harrassment but I was definitely not scared of that... especially since her no good attorney never responded out of all the times I emailed her. Even when she threatened me, he never said one word and I cc'd him every time I emailed her.

Hello all remember I too filed bankrupcy over MMG, it is a hard thing to decide to do but with me I had no choice, worked all my life and paid all my bills had perfect credit and now it is gone thanks to that company. Don't let them fool you into thinking they are an honest business get out and get the pressure going to get your money back. I got most of mine thank goodness for small miracles except for the first payment that I sent them so it is your money and you deserve it back like she stated herself on the news with Chris Hayes it is their money and it belongs to them, so keep after them to get your money

Hey City, whoo good. I thought it might just be another one of their scams. Well, it could be a good sign that they are sending "partial refunds" which is something, even though not the full amount. It's definately different. Still the same old stupid Stanton stuff. I can't imagine why they are sending partial refunds unless they are trying some kind of tactic to screw you over in the end or pacify you for now. As long as it didn't say that "paid in full" crap you should be good.

Get a load of this response to my email from the finance dept.

I wrote...
I received a check today for $1000. Thank you! Is there a reason why it is
only 1/5 of my total? Am I to expect four more $1000 checks or what?
Thank you once again.

And they answered with...
Our department issued and sent to you a partial payment towards your
refund in the amount of $1000.00
Thank You,
Finance Department
Risk Management Partners, LTD.

Well duh, I apparently know you sent a grand to me. Masters of the obvious.

City - What a response. It's something different than the we are waiting to finalize your refund. At least you got a response. They haven't responded to my email yet.

citikid, did you also have to e-mail everyday? Did you get a response before you received your partial refund from the finance dept? Have you ever spoken with Hyla or her attorney? I have been e-mailing the finance dept. everyday, the last response I received from them was in December.

I have emailed multiple times per day, when I am not swamped with work.
I have spoke with Hyla as well as her attorney but that was a long time ago.
I got that stupid responce after I got my payment.
I am now wrtting letters, actual letters, to the Texas address to Hyla, finance dept, and legal dept. Trying twice a week, but work again getting in the way.

Good Morning everybody! It`s been a long while I`ve posted a message in this forum...page 66 and STILL COUNTING! I`m on spring break right now so I have some free time(besides work). Taking microbiology takes up a lot of time...hmmm...why am I oozing green goo under my finger nails?

Congratulations to those who got the partial refund checks and hopefully the rest of it as well. This recent partial refunds being sent out has gotta be a delay tactic. Curious though, something is probably prompting RMP to take action. Wondering if RMP is starting to get notices from FTC or some agency. I`m still waiting for mine after sending the cancellation letter and the power of attorney revocation form.

A note to guest who is asking Citikid, KristieC, and MadMomma where they are located at, it is recommended that you sign up an account in this website just like everybody else here so we KNOW who we are chatting with and the ability to PM (Personal Message) anybody in this forum. Yes, It`s Free.

Someone in this forum was asking me about my visit to the Irving office (I think it`s on page 65 or earlier, can`t remember). The Irving,TX address is valid. Nice environment though....THROUGH OUR FINANCIAL EXPENSE!!! The name Risk Management Partners is not visibly found on the company directory (1st Floor) but maybe under a different name. Again, this was back in January, it was new so maybe it`s name is on the company directory as of now...i don`t know yet. RMP is grouped with other company offices on the 10th floor...no company name is visibly seen nor any suite numbers. There is one MAIN floor secretary who caters to all the companies on the 10th floor (routing incoming calls, notifying company reps if customers/clients arrive, probably accepting packages, doing a hoola hoop in her bikini....I made that one up..sorry) Hyla wasn`t there when I visited 10th floor. I was informed that supposedly she comes and goes between Nevada and Irving,Texas due to "business" meetings and then some. There are strong doubts that it is the case.

Tax time is approaching. I received a letter from my creditor indicating my cancellation of debt (Tax Year 2005 1099-C) which I have to report as income to the IRS. Thats a good thing so that leaves me with one more creditor to go. Statutes Of Limitations has expired already so I can`t be sued by a creditor. Here in Texas, it`s 4 years. I joined MMG back in December 2001.

I`ll be back later today. Gotta get some sleep. Bye for now. Where did I put my soothing blankie?
