Has anyone else received any more of there refunds? Has anyone hired a lawyer? I talked to one and today I sent my final letter to MMG. Next time it will be from a lawyer and maybe that will get them moving!

When I first started with them they settled 4 of my accounts within the first year or so. For the past 2 they haven't done a thing but supposedly send out some letters. I need help as well.

did anyone ever notice that their supposed sent out "settlement offers" are all sent out on the same day for all clients? I think this is the case and they are perhaps just saying that they have sent out offers. I hate this company. They have caused me so many problems in the past year. I want out! Has anyone had success in getting a refund without a lawyer?

For everyone who has received a refund from MMG, did you have to file bankruptcy?

Alot of you are asking the same questions that I and many others have answered... read this entire forum! It is worth it to find out as much info that you can. I hired an 2 attorneys... the first one was treating me like the Stantons so I dropped him and the other I just had a consultation with. I finally received my refund in late Dec. 05 (this did not have the $299 set-up fee or the $400 in retainer fees) but it did include the $250 cancellation fee, yes I got that back. I did not claim bankrupcy but in Jan 06 I contacted all the creditors and negotiated settlements with them... I settled over $14,000 worth of debt for only $5,000 (the amount I got back from RMP). If I can do this all of you can as well.... but yes, it is hard and frustrating and we should have never had to go through this to begin with. I hop ethis answers some questions.

i settled with all of my creditors also. in speaking with them, not one of them (4 in total) ever received a settlement offer from rmp, even though my account on the website stated they had sent out settlement offers! All rmp was doing was changing the dates to make it look as if settlement offers were going out to the creditors when in reality they weren't sending sh**!

I got three emails from Hyla today. Did anyone else?

This email is to notify you that you have been placed on a weekly
remittance schedule, and all funds should be delivered to you by no later
than the end of April.

then

Current Settlement Account Balance: $2,903.11
Ck #2 was issued yesterday.

then

Please cease the harrassment, as we will start to implement a charge
against your account for the mail handling and repeat emails. Your funds
are being processed on a weekly basis, otherwise.
Have a great Day.

Mind you, that better be the amount in my account AFTER that second check was cut or we are talking about a $1500 difference.

And apprently Hyla is sending from an email address that is not receiving emails hyla(at)mmgfinance.com so you can't even respond to her.

Okay, I believe in fair is fair. Hyla just responded to me, again, for my question concerning the amount stated, as above, is the amount in total or amount after the second check has been cut. She states...

Yes, sir you are correct. Please make sure you post that on your web blog,
and make the appropriate letters to the angencies you have written to. I
will want to see a copy of the letter of satisfaction upon remittance of
your last payment. I feel that is MORE than fair considering what you have
done.
Hyla

If this is the case then all is well. Now I have been down this road before with her mind you, so I will be the first to write what has happened. Good or bad. But for now this is a positive step, wouldn't you agree?

I was promised mine by hyla three months ago. At first she told me mine was approved by the finance department and that she would see to it that I would get my full refund back. However, after reading this website she changed her mind and told me I would only get it if I stopped posting to this website. I told her I would stop posting if she would send me my money but if she didn't I would continue to post on here. Of course, I never herd from her again. I've been waiting over one year for my money, it's sad enough they never do what they say, but to make you feel like your the bad person is the ultimate pathetic thing anyone can do. It is our money and always has been. We came to them for help and they didn't do what they promised.

What exactly did you have to do to get your money back. It was 8 months since we cancelled with MMG and we can't even get a response. I sent a certified letter yesterday asking again. The next letter will come from my attorney. I kinda thought that it was just us that got screwed but after finding this site I have found out that they not only ruined our credit and lives but yours as well...how sad that is.

In the beginning of the refund process Hyla asked me to speak positive once I got my refund. I was so open to that. It never happened though. I guess we're up to round two. If this happens, I will speak positive. Why lie when the truth is so much more strange?
