I just got off the phone with an Andre Edwards claiming he is an attorney. The number came up as 904-224-2043 but his call back number is 866-867-7370. He said that I need to pay xx amount today or legal actions will be taken against me. He did have me nervous until I started to read this website.

Hi Tonia, did the company send you anything in writing about this account? They need to itemize the details so that you can verify it. If they are unwilling to send anything, send a DV letter through CMRRR. That way, you will be able to express your concern of paying this debt. Ted Crosby has picked up from that location. He has filed bankruptcy, and is no longer using the name Ellis Crosby & Associates. Their new location has not being disclosed, as Ted Crosby is not allowed to collect.

So has anyone been able to link the calls coming from Mr. Andrew Edwards at the supposed law firm of Taylor Jenks & Associates to Ted Crosby? If Crosby is continuing to do business under a new name, I would like to let the Florida authorities know?

They are already aware of the continued calls business from Crosby. They have actually asked for bank statements and account ledgers where they show monies received the consumers. Ted Crosby is still in hot water.

The calls you are receiving should probably start getting documented. If you have an 800#, that be great. Although this may not be Crosby, a complaint made with the BBB and the AG office would benefit. Apparently Tayor James & Associates is its own company.

Many employees went from Taylor James & Associates over to Ted Crosby after getting fired or leaving. After reading through some of the forums, it appears as the owner was already in hot water for other allegations. There is a supposed Sherrifs sub-station that has opened up in the same complex as Taylor James, so maybe their antics will come to a stand still.

I heard today 2 voice messages left at my work while I was on vacation. All it say's is that either myself or attorney (dont even have one) has to call back Andrew Edwards at 866-867-7370 extension 212. No company name, no information what it is about.
Reading the above postings, I have my doubts about this.

guest33, call Andrew Edwards and verify the reason of the call. The company might be seeking collection on some of your past debt. Check your credit report and see if they have entered anything in your file. It is better to pay off the debt and get rid of such calls. If you don't owe any debt, simply dispute with them. Call them and resolve this matter as early as possible.

Has anyone heard what occurred since the court date that was suppose to take place in December? I tried to contact Amy Sands at the beginning of this week (she is with the Florida Attorney General's Office) but I haven't heard anything back.

Just checking to see if anyone else has checked and received a call back?

Any reply would be greatly appreciated!

In the recent times, there had no direct calls made by Ellis Crosby and they are not doing any collections. So, I guess they must have been completely shut down by the attorney general.

Just imagine, six months back, there had been so many people complaining against this company and now it's all stopped. So, that's good for all of us. Maybe, we have all been able to shut down one more company from doing illegal collections.

If you look above at the other entries, they were attempting to collect on debts just last month and I wanted to see if anyone had heard anything. Amy Sands said she would let me know but as of today and after my trying to contact her earlier this week, there has been no update.

Please advise if anyone has any information on the hearing that was suppose to be in December.

I was wondering if anyone found anything out about the supposed law suit that went to court in December? I have tried to contact Amy Sands of the Attorney General's Office but have received no phone call back from her.

Please let me know if anyone has heard anything. I would realy like to know where I stand with regards to this issue.

I wanted to find out if anyone had an update for the law suit that was filed against Ellis & Crosby Associates. I had sent my affidavit in quite a while ago and was told that in December The Attorney General's Office in Florida (I believe an Amy Sands) was going to to court and advise me of what transpired afterwards. I have made several attempts to contact her but she has not responded.

Please advise if anyone has any news. I appreciate any assistance, and if anyone has a lead on who might know what happened forward that information too.
