I read on the ACA websit that Ellis, Crosby, and Associates were expelled from the association effective August 9, 2005

Very soon, we are going to hear from FTC and BBB also taking legal action against Ellis Crosby and Associates.

BBB is publishing consumer complaints in their website

I have just gotten another call from them at work. I have tried to contact Apollo Group where I took at the loan of 200.00 but they will not speak to me. I now owe Ellis Crosby 560.00 and they say they can have me put in jail. The whole problem is I paid the loan off back in May...but no one cares...what do I do?

I'm dealing with Ellis regarding two loans, one with FSM Group and the other with Platinum B Services. Can anyone tell me what Platinum B debited from my account as? (What name they used that would show on my statement)

I just received a call from an investigator at Ellis Crosby and Associates and before she could even get her spill out I told her to cease all lines of communications and to send my validation of the debt and any other correspondents through mail from here on out. Then I hung up. She called back and said that the next step would be to contact my employer. So I have informed my boss of what is going on. I received my affidavit from Atty. Summer Saladino. Do you have any feedback or suggestions? Thanks

I wish I would have read this website before I acted on a fright scare by "Private Investigator Steven Price". The SOB told me that the call was being recorded, gave me a case number, and asked me to pay up by 1PM if I didn't want officers at my work to pick me up, and that too, double of what I origianlly owed. So, with only 2 hours remaining till 1PM, I called my friends with all the shame that I could possibly pull together, and asked them for help. They are true friends and helped me with $600. So I pay using MoneyGram. Now after I paid, I have called them and left them 4 voicemails with the reference number and have asked them to give me a call back for confirmation that the so called "charges" shall be dropped. I haven't recieved a call back yet. Now I read these forums, and realize what a fool they have made out of me. I feel so small within myself and in front of my friends who helped me. I am so fkin angry right now, I could eat them up alive. Anyone reading this has probably heard this similar story repeat itself over and over....So I want to ask, if there is any good lawyers anyone knows of, or has used or using, that I can call to file a claim against Ellis Crosby, please let me know. I am ready to go all out.

Hi Folks,

I suggest all of you once again not to get carried away by the atrocious calls of Ellis Crosby. These people are continuously involved in horrendous activities and desperately need legal action.

We are just hoping to hear some positive news from BBB and FTC about the end of such malicious activities.

They have been expelled from the aca as of 8/9/05 also has any one ever been arrest from these peoples threats

Unfortunately, their suspension from ACA has NO bearing on their ability to collect debt! Everyone needs to file their complaint with the Florida State Attorney's office, their collection procedures are wrong and unlawful, but the ACA can't stop them....only we can...I haven't heard from them in 2 weeks and I made no threats to them, so I don't know what's going on...

Ellis is a JOKE...they really are. YOu know that saying, "You had me at hello"...well I had THEM at "Private Investigator."
I work for the government and I KNOW what a REAL PI is and rule # 1: You don't tell people that you are a PI and 2: there are no collection agencies that have PI's....that's a federal thing. My boss laughed at them too...heh.

I just can't imagine these peoples' boss "Welcome to the job, I need you to tell the people you harass that you are a Private Investigator and I need you to scare the hell out of them. That would be fun."

Of course these are the people who probably have collection agencies calling them at home 2000 times a night and they get their revenge by calling us and harassing us over what? a $150.00 loan? My loans totaled 300.00 and Ellis wants 880.00. I know the crazy thing with these stupid payday loans is that the payments you make are only payments on the interest of the account, so if we are only paying refinancing charges, then we still have the sum of the principal values to pay, but but having nearly 3 times the amount I loaned owed is beyond ridiculous! But again, I haven't heard from Ellis since two weeks ago next Monday, with the exception of a voice mail from "investigator ward" (who called herself MS WARD on my voicemail) last Friday...I never called them back and there has been no word since!
I'm thinking about taking all of these posts and printing them out and mailing them to this MS WARD so she can see for herself what scum the company cutting her payroll checks is! Could you imagine even TRYING to get another job after working for this company? I would be SO embarassed...Yeah I worked in collections scaring the crap out of innocent people...but I would really love to be your___________??????????
