How can they legally be getting away with this? Keep opening up under different names, I sure hope the Attorney General in Florida is paying attention to all the names they are going by.

HI, I keep getting a call from someone about a payday loan and when they leave me a message I could barely hear what the guy is saying. I was able to get the number by playing the message over and over. The number I got was 904-665-5008. Is this the same company? I know this loan was paid off already. Not sure I want more info before I call.
Ask him to send something in writing so that you can understand the purpose of the call. A legitimate company will not refuse to give you some written document.

These guys are collecting under so many names and not remitting to their clients. If anyone gets a call from a collection agency with a 904 area code, assume it is Ellis Crosby.

Does anyone know if Ted Crosby is still in business? Does he have a law suit against him? Is the business still on Southside Blvd., Jacksonville, FL? Has he been investigated? (fraud). Any info is appreciated.

Wanted to find out if anyone had heard anything about the suit against this company by the Florida Attorney General's Office. I have been speaking with them and there was to be a court date this month? Just wanted to see what was new with this pending situation.

I too received a call asking me to call 904-685-5008 about money I owed a PDL. I think they said they were United Fed Bank They said they were filing a case against me for check fraus or something like that. If I paid them 850.0 they would not file. The original loan was 300.00. Is there any validatity to what they want to do with check fraud.
First off you will not be charged with check fraud. They are the ones committing the crime by threatening you. They have committed a violation. Send them a debt validation letter certified mail with return receipt. File a complaint against them with the AG in Florida and in your state and with the BBB and the FTC.
http://www.myfloridalegal.com/ is the website of the Florida Attorney General. Have you tried to contact the original lender and work out payments with them? The CA has to validate the debt in writing before attempting collections. You will come to know if they are making a legitimate collection.
