Corporate Receivables, Inc

Question everyone. I have been getting calls at work from a collector at Corporate Receivables, Inc in Phoenix AZ. Apparently one of my creditors sold this (bad) account to them. Well, this collector continues to call my place of employments after I have told him I am not allowed to receive calls at work. Since the first time he called me at work and I told him this, he has called 3 more times, once leaving a message with the owner of Corporate Receivables to have me call him back. I called him back and left a message on his voice mail, again telling him not to call my work (yes, he does have an alternate number for me) and he calls me right back AT WORK! I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the BBB (2 weeks ago) and again today he calls me at work, again I tell him not to call me at this number and he told me he would stop calling my work when I pay him the money I owed. I looked this place up on the BBB and I wont give this place a cent without the help of my credit consulting company--which by the way Corporate Receivables refuse to even speak to. What would be my next step in getting Corporate Receivables collector to quit calling my place of employment?

Any ideas are much appreciated,

Hi all this is Jules again. I'm real confused regardng this Corporate Receivables collection agency that claims I owe them money. I just pulled my credit report and they have shown up as an inquirery, but they are not listed as a company that I owe money to. One would think that if they own this account like Corporate Receivables claim, they would report this information on my credit report? Who are these poeple? Corporate Receivables keeps callin my work claims I owe $2000 to them, but there isn't even an account on my report that has that amount????

HI Julesp

Welcome to the forums. Ask Corporate Receivables to validate the debt. Also send them a letter stating that you do not wish to communicate with them further except providing you a validation of the said debt.

The validation letter will include the following details of your account.

  • The details of the account.

  • All the calculation should be shown of the amount that is owed.

  • Any copies of the papers to be furnished that shows the payment agreement.

  • Provide a verification or copy of any judgment if applicable

  • The original creditor needs to be identified.

  • The Statute of Limitation needs to be proven for the collection of the debt.

  • The license of the collection agency applicable in the state is to be furnished along with the license numbers and Registered Agent

  • Proof of the agreement that the debt collector has purchased the debt or has been hired by the creditor to collect the debt from the debtor as this is the basic contract law.

  • Complete payment history showing the details of the creditors, payment history, amount of the debt, break up of fees/interest should be provided in paper.

  • A copy of the original signed loan agreement between the debtor and the original creditor establishing the debt between both the parties also has to be produced.

If Corporate Receivables are not able to provide you the following details about your account, it will prove that they are misrepresenting your accounts and you will file a class action lawsuit against them.

You can record all the telephonic communication with them and produce it to your lawyer.

Regards
Roxette

Thanks for the reply Roxette. I asked Corporate Receivables the first time he called about verifing the debt, and he went ballistic on me, lol. Sorry I have to laugh at this guy, I have settled with all but 2 other debtors (Corp Rec, possibly being one of the 2 I have left) but this guy is so rude, and wont let me get a word in edgewise, I'm not sure where to even start bartering with him for a settlement. I wasn't rude to this guy at all the first time he contaed me, he was the one that was obnoxiously rude. I will send them a letter requesting verification of the debt, but for some reason I don't see Corporate Receivables furnishing my request--I think this place is a scam. There was one collection agency on my credit report yesterday, that listed an account I originally had with HRS, which Corporate Receivables claims they are collecting for, but on my CR it has Arrow Financial as the collection agency as the collector--could Corporate Receivables be on in the same as Arrow?

Hi Julesp

Welcome back. It is possible that the debt collection agencies often pass on the debt accounts to some other agency when they face difficulties in recovering it.

However, you will pay to only that agency that is appearing in your credit report. It is that particular collection agency only who has to report to your credit bureaus that you have completed your payments and your accounts should be shown as Paid in full.

Always communicate through mail with return receipt requested and ask for validation before you start making payments to your debt.

Regards
Roxette

I just came from the FTC.gov site to register a complaint after receiving the most belligerent and condescending phone calls I've ever had. This employee named Glen Rice for Corporate Accounts Receivable called and frankly I would've been happy to settle my account if it weren't for this jerk. Is there any recourse a person can take against an employee like this or the company that hires him? It is even more disturbing when I read the posts on this site to find that I am not alone in this unwarranted abuse.

I called Corporate Receivables today and spoke with Robert West, James, his sup, too. I asked for the president's name and he refused. I asked what they do and he refused. They thought it was a joke! I hate this place, Corporate Receivables keep calling for my dad and pissing him off. He doesn't owe them anything.

Readers,

I too have been harassed by this company, Derrick Miller in particular. Right you are about the attitude. I have been getting phone calls and messages from Corporate Receivables since July. I have asked to have verification sent to me. Derrick said they have sent information to my house and they don't need to send any more, I just need to pay! They ask for the last four digits of your SS # to verify that they have the wrong person. Don't give out any information over the phone. Ask them for verification. Well it is obvious they have purchased a debt or are working a debt for some one who can't find there original customer. There are thirteen people in Arizona with the same first and last name as me. And that's just looking through the phone books on line. They just call them all until they get some results. They don't even do any homework on it. If they had sent information to me they would surly know that the address they sent the information to did not match the address of the number in the phone book that they found me in. Further more if I owed anyone, I think they would be listed on my credit report which rates me above 770. I am in the process of filing complaints to: Arizona State Banking Department, who regulate collection agencies in Arizona, Arizona Attorney General, Better Business Bureau and any one else I can find. Good luck to the rest of you.

The owner is Bruce Davis wife Nancy Davis. Daughter is Danielle.
glen rice is really Ron Johnwell. He has been hired and fired many times from Corporate Recievables. His brother is Chris Johnwell (he also works there)
The owner is a very abusive leader and it shows in his collectors approach.
If you want to really get results I sugest you contact an attorney who specializes in litigation of collection agencies.

P.S. they all use aliases.

Also contact and file a complaint with the original creditor. They will have to answer to them once complaint is filed.

I've had problems with the same company, Corporate Recievables. Looking at what some people are saying,I am no longer as p#$**!@ as I was before. I was treated like dirt and threatened with everything but capital punishment if I didnt pay the money "owed". Does anyone know if Corporate Receivables is even legit? I paid them $1500. and want to know if I've been ripped off.
