MIssy-- I do applaud you for being able to do that. Some of us are in much positions to where we have no choice. Most of us are not denying the fact that we owe the money. I know I owe money out there. I know in my case I was fine with making the payments until my car broke down and it cost over a thousand dollars in repairs and rentals. This was an unforeseen event. If I were able to turn the back the clock I ouwldnt have gone that route--but I also couldnt afford to get evicted or have any utilities shut off. It is different for everyone which is why no one should be judged. Confused

Did you get a payday loan? What do you mean...by you can't figure out when money will hit.

If you've filled out paper work, then the day you told them as your payday will be the day they take their money back. This usually happens at 5AM your time. So you might want to change the payback to the following business day.

Actually...they never called me. They never once called me.

I was soooo pissed off at this company, CALLING EVERYONE, at on
end...inquring how I can get in touch with David Ash (President) and who
was the director of the call center in Winnepeg, Manitoba.

Yolanda Williams-Green got pissed and wondered why I knew sooo much.
Anyway...she also got irriated when I called and asked for Yolanda...they inquired...Yolanda Green. I said...sure. She answers...I ask is this Ms. Williams..she says yes. I say I had the wrong number. She new instantly it was me, and said "What's the problem Michael?"

Explained I felt I had been getting lied to.

She went on to say she got married, and she told everyone in the call center that if my information pops up, their on a DNID system (dialed number information display) which will pop up all accounts pertaining to an area code.

NOTE: You cannot block 800#s

So she went on to say that if Mike calls to find her. If she's in a meeting, pull her out. If she's at lunch, find her. If she's in her car, transfer the call to her cell phone. She's explaining all this to me, and apparently E-Care was getting worried about a law suit.

I had explained to Yolanda in a prior phone call that the Dublin address was a not working address. Not working as in...the person at the other end wasn't accepting certified mail. Maybe all the mail was getting forwarded, and since this was international mail with not enough postage to forward again...and thus also needed a signature before getting forwarded... as the information I sent certified came back with SIGNATURE REFUSED. Not ...address invalid... but signature refused.

(Does anyone know how this works with sending letters overseas with certified. I was told that this is a waste of money that the Post Office doesn't explain to you as possible. It's just a way for the Post Office to make money, but it seems to get over looked each time. Can this be done? Am I really getting signatures refused.)

Soo....I haven't heard anything yet, and as far as I know the debt has been paid. I wrote in the letter that they have gained their loan back by the fees they asessed me when hitting my account those two times and charing the $29/per.

The last person to contact me was Erin Kennedy who stated she had been on vacation. This was a week later after I had faxed a final (cease & desist)letter to Yolanda's supervisor who was Shirley Chandra. I only did this because the letter was not sent back to me, and no one from corporate was making an effort to contact me. Erin stated she had no clue what was going on, and I explained to her there should be plenty to tell if she talked to Shirley or Yolanda.

They were calling all the time. Now I havent heard from them in the last 2 weeks. So I was just wondering if the same thing happened to you.

No. I haven't heard from them since I last made my phone calls. I probably didn't even need to fax the letter, but I wanted to fax one just in case.

If after making a formal complaint you are still unhappy with the outcome, you can contact one of the statutory ombudsman schemes. An ombudsman:

decides if the scheme can deal with your complaint;

Please do not use SONIC/COASTLINE/PRLDIRECT. Their parent company is E-Care contact centres Ltd. They are based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba and have their corporate offices in Vancouver, British Columbia.

They tried to issue a Voluntary Wage Assignment to my company today, and payroll notified me and I told payroll other arrangements had been made to disregard the assignment. I am in credit counselling, so they are trying to work out a plan with this group. To no avail, no one has responded to our request. Under Canadian Law, when a consumer proposal is made, the creditor has 45 days to respond to the proposal to work out arrangements. If after 45 days, no response is made by the creditor, the monetary amount listed in the proposal is what is paid to the creditor. This company tries to circumvent the law by issuing the Voluntary Wage Assignment. This is illegal. When my credit counsellor contacted the collector at PRL Direct, she asked the collector is she was registered as a collector, the collector screamed profanities back at the counsellor. I am doing more research on these companies, as I am seriously considering a lawsuit against the individuals and company. They are a scam. They used to belong to an association here in Canada that dealt with payday loans. They were banned for illegal dealings. They have over 100 complaints against them.

DO NOT DEAL WITH SONIC/COASTLINE/PRLDIRECT!!!!!
