My husband received a letter from them and the return address was P.O. Box 1216, Oaks,PA 19456. Very strange.

Rhonda-

Were you the one that posted the 800 on here...and when you call they say "This is John Doe, How can I help you." I called that number (whoever posted it---curiousity was killing me) and I stated that I had the wrong number. Then they ask are you trying to reach Sonic, or PLR...or E-Care Services. I told him again that I had the wrong number and he asked if I was sure.

Also, I have seen for PLR/Sonic the Oak Park address on the bbb site.

This is where they get away with most things, because it is sooo hard to track someone/department down.

I did post an 800 number on here and they would not give me any information. I told them that I wouldnt give any information if they cant tell me who they were.

Wow..... That is more than what they were willing to relay to me. Thank You, at least now I have an idea of who is calling.

I just basically said I had the wrong number. And he said who are you trying to reach...something along the lines of that...

The call took much longer than it should have for me saying ..."I have the wrong number" to someone answering the phone..."Good Morning, this is John, how can I help you."

I'm really curious to what department that is though. Could it be their legal department. I know I had the number to wage assignment, and that wasn't it. Because they answered E-Care.

i used to work cust serv for this company and I've seen these people alive and kicking. i think this company's practice are very shady. not only do they lie to the customers but to their own staff too. they make their staff lie to customers. I've never seen that P.O. Box 1216, Oaks,PA 19456 address before. funny thing is, in the state of PA they got strict laws on payday loan companies that prohibits them from operating in PA. this company doesnt loan to residents of NY,NJ,AK,PA and some others. Jeremy Sabourin is head of the marketing department. he's from winipeg. Brad Hogg is head of the computer department. Kim dethomas is President of the company. Grace Smyth is probably a manager. never seen her but she is running things in Ireland. Peter Ash is CEO and Paul Ash is COO. Paul Grehan, don't recall but he's one of the top execs. all thes companies are all 1 big happy family. corporate office and collections is in Surrey. customer service staff are in Wnnipeg. i've said too much.

Hi there. I'm another one who has been suckered in by this company. I have (don't laugh) about 5 payday loans currently withstanding. Is it possible to discharge these debts via bankruptcy?

Going for bankruptcy won't be a wiser decision. It's not a good solution as it can damage your credit report to a great extent. Check the adverse effects of bankruptcy here -

Try some other way to get out of this situation. Prepare a budget that will allow you to send some money towards all your lenders. It won't stop harassing calls, but it will protect the accounts from going to collection agencies.

Also you can join some part-time jobs to manage some extra bucks.

Another thing I might want to mention is, in some cases you may no be able to file bankruptcy. In most all of the payday contracts it states that you are fully responsible. However, a lot of these contracts could be void because they were not signed in person.

I also recommend seeking another path to cleaning up your credit. Consolidation, although not all will allow payday loans, are an easier way to improve credit.

Don't make any risky decisions without knowing your options and the empact it'll have later.

David Ash is the founder. was talking to a friend the other day and they mentioned that their opening another company very soon-CTC. it's being piloted right now. new website, different phone number, different fax number but same people.

That's the trick most of the scammers take up to fool people. As the reptiles shed their skin once in a season, these scammers are also going after that trend. But we are well informed this time and ready to fight them back.

Exactly! The business name is stamped with the word �scam' and whenever people searching to see this company's report, they are getting the information how these scam artists have ripped off lots of innocents. It's obviously restricting the area of the business and as a result they are looking for an alias!

I too have been caught up in this mess. I am now in the process of filing bankruptcy but Sonic won't give me an address to send the info to. They only give me a fax number. Does anyone know if I should put the Dublin, ireland address down or the newport, De address?

Sonic has questionable operational practices to say the least. Keep in mind most people who uses Sonic has some type of problem and this type of company isn't the one you want to use to solve problems, they will simply increase your problems.
