Ellis Crosby again!

I just received another phone call from Investigator Shannon Moore. She told me she had already spoken with me about this. I told her all she had to do was send me validation because I don't remember taking a loan from this particular payday company...nor can I find any information on it. She told me that I better remember quickly about goin on line and taking a loan that they had recorded my ip address and that I didn it at work and it was putting my employer at civil risk. If I ddin't call her back by 1:00 today she was going to send back the money I have already sent her and process me as habitual. She also stated that she was not at a collection agency and she didn't have to discuss the validity with me. I should retain an attorney and have him contact her. So she gave me her number and I informed her the conversation had been recorded she said that's fine and continued talking but I hung up. So what do you all think I should do at this point?
I've already talked with Summer Saladino, the BBB, ACA and the FTC. SHould I send her some money or just let her keep calling?

Mdow- SHE CANT DO ANYTHING! Tell her you know what they are up to, and you are not sending anything until she validates it for you, a REAL collection agency will valadate your debt, BY LAW they have to!
I do think they just woke up one day and said Lets start up a faulty collection agency, and not read up on the laws. Rolling Eyes

What exactly does validating consists of? She told me the name...but I don't recall taking a loan from anyone named JVC processing..and besides I really thought I had paid the payday loans off. Also she said she was sending back the money I already sent her...can she do that? How do I get them to stop calling me at work? I've sent a letter that says I will only deal with them through US mail but I'm sure they haven't received it yet. I just sent it yesterday...but when I talked to Summer Saladino with the Attorney General of Florida she said they probably wouldn't honor the request. Has anyone else had any luck in getting them not to call you at work?

Is there anything they can do if I continue to hang up on them? Also, how do I go about actually seeing if I owe the loan. I called one of the companies she told me and all they did was give me a recording that said my account had been sold and gave Ellis' phone number. The other company she keeps saying is JVC processing and I can't find anything on them...In fact I've never heard of them so I'm not really sure I had or have a loan with them. I can't find a phone number for them or amything.

Thank you for your help

this is my first time using this forum and I just receive a call for the first time from a lady from ellis crosby and assoc. I had a payday loan of $200 and was unable to repay it back on the due date. So about a week or so past after my due date and I receive a call from this lady saying that there is a afidavit against me and that if I don't pay $560 by today (which i don't understand why I have to pay more then twice as much as I borrowed) that an investigator will locate me and apprehend me from my job. What should I do?

alexthomas1981 - If you browse the different segments in this forum specially the posts of Ellis Crosby and Associates, you will understand that they are involved in such malicious acts for recovering the money from the consumers.

Stay well informed in this forum because it will help you a lot while dealing with the personals from Ellis Crosby.

You just don't have to pay anything to Ellis as they are undergoing suspension and have consumer complaints against them.

Mdow,
I faxed the letter i sent over to them, i addressed it directly to the "investigator" and the company.
I stated each right they violated and i have not heard from them since.
all i know is you have to be consistant with your actions, when they call simply hang up. No one says you have to talk to them. but search the forums for my letter to Ellis Crosby and ASS ociates, use it if you need to have a guide. i encourage you to fax it to them and send it via US mail.
Remember a phone conversation has to have 2 people (in most cases) if you take yourself out of the equation you can avoid alot of unnecessary stress.
TAKE CONTROL!
If something is going to happen deal with it then.

I faxed them a copy of the letter with the fax number they gave me, which went through ok.
They can probably trace my fax number, but if they were to dare send anything, then they're only digging their hold deeper...
