Debt R&R

If there's one thing that debt creates besides an ever-growing hole in your pocket, it's A LOT of stress.
I noticed that my debt was causing me to be increasingly irritable, moody, emotional and depressed. I also developed back pain. This over long-term can be extremely detrimental to your health, so I had to seek ways to get out of debt, but in a less stressful way.

Here are some tips that worked:

1) Don't WORRY! Try to focus on things that make you happy, like a hobby, your kids, even your job. Take up a new hobby in order to get your mind off things.

2) Treat yourself to a massage. A good hour massage is not too pricey, and you feel the effects long after. It'll relax your tense muscles and release harmful pathogens.

3) Don't pile more debt on top of the debt you already had. I made the mistake of getting payday loans to attempt to pay off the ones I already had...needless to say, that didn't work. CONSOLIDATE!

4) Get plenty of rest! Atleast 8 hours. Clear your mind before drifting off. Save the thinking for the workday!

5) Surround yourself with cheerleaders...not the annoying ones at the football games (unless you want to!), but those like this forum, who will support you and encourage you. We're all in the same boat!

6) Remember that it always gets better. If you hit the bottom, there's no way to go but up. If life stayed bad ALL the time, none of us would be here!!!

Good luck!

Hi guitar_slayer

This is a wonderful piece of advice from your side to our community. Your piece of advise suggests that we should not panic when we struggle fighting with debt related problems. A proper planning will solve this problem more efficiently.

Lastly, we should learn from our mistakes that have already been committed. If we do not do that, we will never find ourselves growing in our life.
