Could someone PLEASE tell me what this company is zapping from our accounts under? I am looking for the name used when processing ACH debits and credits. It is OBVIOUSLY not Platinum, and since I too am in the process of filing my report with the Florida State Attorney's office regarding Ellis Crosby, I need to know what name I'm looking for on my statement so I can show the original loan and all payments. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again!

Hi Tabitha

Did you check your bank statement to see who is authorized for all the debits and credits relating to ACH?

I hope this will help you in getting some useful information.

Regards
Roxette

Ironically, they credited my account through SJM, however there were NEVER any debits or debit attempts on my account by their company, and yet I'm in collections with Ellis because of them!

The guy I talked to at Platinum ( The GREATEST person I've talked to so far!) Gave me dates that payments were debited but there is nothing on my statement. This guy was shocked when he heard that Ellis was practicing such unethical collection methods, and said he would get the info to his VP right away...I said I know you could give two shits about those of us in collections with your company, but the reputation of your collection agency could affect word of mouth when it comes to new customers at your company! I will give Platinum Services a little credit, after all, this guy helped me out even though my account was already sold to Ellis, normally they just transfer you to a recording which states your account has been turned over to a collection agency...yada yada yada, but I just called back and politely asked the guy to hear me out before he transfered me, and it proved helpful.
I was just hoping someone else had loaned through them and knew what they were debiting as...Thanks!

emaxcollectedge.com is a bogus site. There is nothing there when you go to it. Also they told me my loan was through BMG Consulting which is a insurance anf financial consulting company. I am also in Florida and buyer beware of these people. They will try to take your money from you for nothing. I also had nothing showing a debit or credit to my bank account from BMG Consulting which I will contact them in the morning to make them aware of this.

There actually is a site for collect edge, and there are people who answer the phone there. BMG probably debits your account under a processing company that processes their loans. They ended up with one of my accounts that I paid ellis for, but got rid of my account after I made proof of my payment.

Platinum B Services also know as E PayDay. PB will debit & credit your account under SJM.

Not in every situation is PB helpful. My mother had completely paid them for her loan in full, yet the continued to bill her monthly for service charges. PB told me "We bill the service fee until the person calls us to tell us they want to pay the principal loan off. We had thousands of customers and we aren't babysitters. Not our responsibility to cancel this."

My mother was zapped with the full loan repayment 30 days later. To date she was zapped with monthly fees totalling to $450 in addition to the original agreement upon payment amount. Since, PB has turned her account over to a third party collection agency. Beware of who you are doing business with. I am sorry, but all my research on Platinum B does not lead me to believe they are an "honest company." When PB was called to make them aware of the situation they refused to speak to me and told me to call the third party collector. They say they sold the note and no longer have any claim against my mother. Crazy stuff. Good luck everyone. I told my mom to count her blessing, they could have cleaned out her account.

There are folks at this company that are great to deal with. You have to pay very close attention to your loan docs, realize that you must state IN WRITING your desire to pay the loan in full and confirm that no further debits will be deducted from your account. I had a loan thru e-payday and they were really good to deal with. I paid in full one the first due date and have had no issues since. Pay attention to the loan docs and the instructions, follow up and you'll avoid any issue.

Guest,

That is such great advice. Wish you were around to tell my mother that. Sometimes I don't think she listens to advice I try to give her.

Guarantee you she didn't look at her loan documents at all, only to see that yes she was approved and when do I get my money.

Let this be a lesson for everyone. Pay attention to these loans, they are legally binding and you can easlily be taken advantage off by just not being informed. Read what you are agreeing to.

Guest, you gave the best advice for everyone to follow. Thanks again.

Thamks. I just paid off my last loan after an experience of my own with EC. I did not run into any abuse at all actually, but it was a huge wake up call for me and I borrowed from a freind and sold some personal items to pay them in full. I can't imagine ever feeling desperate enough to have to use these things again, but if I did it would be with a company that was responsive to my questions, like e-payday.

I have read all of your posts and I can empathize with you all. I got a loan from e - payday back in January 2004 for $250. I just traced them back to Platinum B today and now realize that they have been debiting $150 a month ($75 per pay period) for over a year and half. I contacted Platinum B and all they offered to do was stop debiting my account. We are talking about $3150 paid for a $250 loan. My bank can only contest $225 of that money and even that is not a lock for reimbursement. It looks like I will have to pursue a lawsuit via small claims court if I want my money back. If you are considering one of these loans, and trust me, I understand hard times call for extreme measures, please seek a different solution. The payoff (no pun intended) is just not worth it.

rabbitears,

I do agree with you. Payday loans seem to be very easy solution which they aren't in reality. But we realize this when it's already too late.

Sometimes financial hardship compels us to go for these payday loan and we are trapped. What could be the alternative solution, any idea?
