Clay-

I was going to ask the same thing. Looks like you beat me to it. I have been in the chat room 2-3 times now, and haven't seen anyone.

I think a lot of people are not aware of it, as I don't see it to be an option on the main page.

Cheers-
Mike

Is the chat room open for guest or is it a member's only thing?

Vikas:

Chat seems to be working for me. The question is, will Moderators have the rights to boot/kick if needed? We don't need people logging in, spam bots, harassers, etc ... and ruining the experience for everyone.

It looks really cool and promising. Any chat room, however, will need some kind of moderation to prevent abuse - I think perhaps we should divide the chat into the same categories as the forum (into rooms for each topic) then have the moderators moderate the chat? Does that sound doable? Thoughts anyone.....

Also, I just noticed our email addresses are exposed. Can we (for the sake of privacy) crop the username to show the same as the forum? This will help with confusion as well.

Just keep in mind it's not like IRC....some people like to abuse their power....

Let's give it a push, I am sure we will be able to take care of spammers and abusers the way we have done for forums.

Okay Vikas,
most of the people that I know want to go and have live one on one chats with the other people from the community are they able to be open and ask questions and get answers or do they have to have their own member's i.d. they are also intrested in joining but I know some of them have questions and what to speak live one on one in a chat is it open for that?

I haven't tried the chat room yet because I don't have internet at home until next week. So most of my posts are at work. I will be sure to try it out when I get back online!
