i recieved a call from a place called I.C.s today but what shocked me was the person called private yes a blocked caller so i asked the lady who and what did she represent and she said that she represented a place called I.C.S the funny thing is was that about a couple weeks ago i requested a loan from them and they asked me to send in two recent paycheck stubs and i did so anyhow i got denied for the loan cause they said and i quote ''you don't work enough hours'' so why are they calling me now does any one know how to get in contact with these people or ever heard of them? please give me all information if any one has it on this company

Do not do business with ICS otherwise known as international cash services. They are a payday loan company and it will not do anything but hurt you. I have defaulted on a loan from them and although they dont call and harass me, i have to pay so much in fees because i defaulted. Chmartinbaby06 do whatever you can to avoid doing business with places like this. I believe they are affiliated with Cash today Limited. I have no address or anything on ICS, they called me twice and I cant seem to get through on the number.

thanks for replying back to my message but if any one knows who these people are and a number to reach them please notify me cause i want to tell them to stop calling my phone and harassing me and i never got approved for the loan any way because they are probaly trying to tell me that i am now approved but i dont even want the money now

chmartinbaby06, if you are not able to locate them in anyway, ask them to send you in writing explaining the reason. I hope you will be able to gather the address from their mail.

I actually spoke with ICS today about repaying my loan with them. They were very understanding and have agreed to payment arrangements over 6 payperiods and I would not incurr in addtnl fees for this. I was given an address that I could send a money order to, because I told them that I did not feel comfortable giving any account info over the phone.

It feels good when you are able to work with the companies that you are in debt with in a pleasant way. Especially if they are not harassing you. They basically just asked me what I wanted to do. Considering how long I have defaulted on this loan, I only have to pay back 289.00. Just thought I would share this with everyone.

I just recently applied for a cash adv. I received a call late last night about 10 something from a caller with an accent. This morning I was given a 24/7 800#, however when I call them no answer 1 800 690-9975. Thanks for the info, I will not do business with them.

Thanks for sharing this info. It really feels nice when the creditors are willing to work with the consumers. I think many people are still not willing to realize the sense of responsibility of the consumers towards paying of the debt.

I wish your post should be read by those who criticize the consumers for not paying their debts.

Someone called my "employer" and said they were getting ready to garnish my wages. ICS: 1.800.865.3703. International Cash Services. They were calling to verify my employment. They don't know I'm a subcontractor, not a direct employee, so they can't garnish my wages! Their fax number is 1.800.865.3704. We must stop these people from England who fail to abide by American law!

These people need to be stopped and likewise, many others following the same illegal tactics.

Have your lodged your complaint with the FTC, BBB, consumer protection office. We all need to make complaints collectively so that the bureaus can take speedy actions.

since they denied your application, these calls would amount to sales or telemarketing calls in my book. Have you registered with the Do Not Call Registry?? If so I would file a complaint. While the law does allow contact from people you have an active business relationship with, I would think since they denied your application, that relationship is effectivly terminated.

ok, on the subject of I.C.S. and Cash Today, which are linked.
I am an employee of Cash Today for the collections department who try and get the money back from defaulting americans who take the money we loan them in good faith and then don't repay.
In the transcript, (that's the phone conversation) it states, and i quote 'do you understand that the loan you are receiving is being made by I.C.S./Cash Today Ltd of London England, that the terms and conditions are subject to the laws of England, and that you submit yourself to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts? If yes, please state your full name and today's date.' When you agree to this, you agree to submit to the laws of England, which includes wage garnishments. We actually don't give out the loan to people who are self employed so by misleading our company into believing you have an employer, you have committed fraud.
as for the person who was not accepted for the loan due to the amount of hours they worked, i have no idea why this was the case. We only refuse loans to people who have worked at their job for less than three months, maybe this was the case and the representative did not explain what they meant properly.

You can lodge your complaint with the FTC and the BBB and anyone else you like, as we are not an american company, we lie outside their jurisdiction.

as long as someone meets our requirements to take out the loan and makes the payments when agreed, you should have no problems with either of the companies you complain about so vociferously.

It is understood that Cash Today falls under the jurisdiction of England? Does that mean that any disputes arising with the consumers have to be solved in the English courts only?

Isn't there any way to get things solved in the US?

Please let us know more on this.

Regardless if Cash Today is a British company subject to British Law or not, If they are doing business in the US, they are still subject to the laws applicable to their business in the United States. If anything, I would think being subject too two jurisdictions would make it harder for them to engage in in business.

However, it would probably be a a good idea to see if anyone can find out if there are laws similar to the FDCPA and FCRA in England, and what Agency is responsible for thier administration there.

I was poking around on the FTC website, and under the "file a complaint" link, they have a page to file a complaint about companies based in other countries and doing business in the US..IT seems from what I gathered that they are still subject to US law.
