You should sue the credit agency. There is no reason that they should be attempting to collect upon a debt that is over 7 years old or refuse to remove it. CBA needs to cease contact other than with your attorneys.

Be careful of CBA as they will screw you over.
They will not remove incorrect claims. They say that if you pay the balance they will remove it, then when they get the money only mark it as paid and not remove the hit.
And Rocky, one of the managers is terrible and likes the power he gets from being the manager....

I am having a lot of issues here. I've been trying to apply for a credit card but have not been approved because there is a Negative Item on my credit report that CBA put on there. The account supposedly came from AT&T but I have NEVER opened any accounts with AT&T before!!!
I had both Transunion and Experian look into the matter and Transunion verified that it was not my account and removed it from the file but Experian kept it on there!
So what do I do now? I know it's not mine because I have never had any accounts with AT&T so how can I get them to remove it from my record? I would prefer not to contact CBA if possible because of all the problems that others have been having with them harassing people here. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

Total scam operation. I got a bill for $1500 for a cable box. CBA was usless, I filed a Better Business bureau complaint against Time Warner and they said they've had a lot of complaints about CBA screwing things up.
Whatever you do DON'T pay CBA. Pay whatever you owe (if anything) directly to who you owe and let CBA COLLECTION BUREAU suck wind.

they ARE a rip off!! I agreed to a settlement with them, paid them the first of two installments and they said I still owed the whole amount, which was due on a debt that was 9 years old. beyond the statute of limitation anyways! I just wanted to get it off my credit report. they are soooooo sleazy!!! they wouldn't send me out an agreement but were quick to take my money!

Rip off, I hope you realize that you restarted the SOL when you made a payment on this debt. NEVER NEVER send payments to a CA without having the debt validated, never make payment arrangements without having it in writing! If you sent payment by a check, watch your bank account now. I would close it and open a new one.
