Nyki, make sure that you put everything documented while dealing with them. Send your letters through certified mail with return receipt requested. This will help you to prove your efforts with the dates mentioned on it.

This is the same company that keeps calling me at work offering me a loan.I keep telling them no thanks, and that I have not even applied for a loan, but they call me at least once a week. They called me today and wanted to know why I did not want a loan from them,I told them to please stop calling me,and I will never be needing a loan from them. This company likes to harass even the people who dont have loans from them.I could hardly understand the guy on the phone, but he seemed to be mad that I did not want a loan.Go figure!!

Although it might be tough to stop them from calling you, but you should definitely register at the 'do not call' list since this time, it sounds like a tele-marketing call. But before you do this, make sure that you do not loose other important calls coming to your end.

MJ,

I am sorry that you have lost your hard earned money. You should do proper research before making any types of financial decisions.

Please lodge your complaints at the FTC, BBB and the state attorney general office and request to look into the matter.

According to my lawyer, Cash Today would need certain licensing in order to conduct business with the United States. So even though they are not based in the US, they still MUST abide by our laws. I am going to proceed filing chapter 13 this week, and if I am harrassed further by this company once I provide my case number to them, my attorney and I will be filing a suit against them. They are NOT above the law. If they can do business here, they HAVE to adhere to the guidelines.

Default Cash Today LTD

This is my second loan with Cash Today LTD. I took out the 2nd one because I was in dire need of cash. the first time I took out my loan they were so rude. The loan was taken out on a Monday and my first payment was due on Friday. I tried to get an extension but was given the run around. I was even hung up on. Everytime I tried to call I was told to call back and talk to another person. Finally I decided to pay them off. When I called to tell them I was paying them off, then they were ready to talk. They wanted me to extend my loan one more time. I told them no and to take the money. They continued to call I kept telling them no. Afterwards they would send e-mails and call trying to get me to take out a loan again. I wish I had read this page first. Do these laws also apply in Missouri?

Default Cash Today LTD

After reading through more of these pages. I have found some very valuable information. I will never as long as I live take out another online payday loan. I am filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy and have included ALL my online payday loans. I have not defaulted on them but I they do not call me regarding these loans or try to garnish my checks. It was on the advice of my attoney to add them and after reading this forum, I am so glad I did. My finances were to far gone for debt consolidation. I found this page trying to find the address for Cash Today, I am so glad that I did. Believe me, there is very valuable information listed here. I just saw it a day too late. This will not be my last time coming to this forum. My learning days have just begun!!!! Thank you

Alicia,

Stick to your payment plan. Also, ask them to give you the details of all the calculation of interest. They have to put it in writing before you start payment to it. It's your legal right to know the details of the debt as per the fdcpa laws.

I to almost got a loan from this company, after reading these horror stories I tried to call an cancel, didn't work, However, I did email darren and samantha and the loan was canceled, so thanks to all for that info. Unfortunately, I had a debit of $21.95 for "go roadside pal". they used their own phone number on my bank statement. When I called to find out what this was they told me I had a 7 day free trial and I did not cancel in 7 days so they took the money. So, I asked how where what when did they get my info and the man told me through a payday loan. Now mind you I never got a payday loan. He gave me an address in Las Vegas to cancel in writing, he told me they didn't have anything on line. Liars! their site is roadsidepal.com phone# 866 898-2437 and you can canel online. So, I took it upon myself to email darren and samantha and roadside pal, I will be honest I wasn't very pleasant, I then emailed roadside pal 6 times. No response from anyone.
Today, I took a chance and called the number again, and guess what I am canceled and getting a refund.
The other thing is they have 3 companies, roadside pal, go debit card usa, and met plus discount prescriptions. Today, I spoke to a rep named Sheldon, when I gave him my name he instantly told me about my refund, and I verified the other 2 companies. This problem came about due to my online application. When I asked Sheldon what payday company gave him my info he said all they get is applications. Sounds fishy to me, all I can say is thanks to everyone on this site I didn't fall into their trap. Thanks for reading my story, good luck to everyone.

Hi Linda,

Welcome to the forums. Be very careful while dealing with such loan companies and check your credit report regularly. It seems that your personal information is being sold from one company to another. Anytime, they can hit your bank accounts and credit file.

If you can keep a religious check on your personal information, then only you will be able to detect any fraudulent activity and take active measures.

Regards
Roxette
