Hi Shannon
When an individual seeks for consolidation, then it is that person who makes payments and in turn improves his credit report after settling all the dues. Every person has his or her own credit report and it does not have any relation with anyone else. So if you are seeking for debt consolidation, then it will not affect the credit report of your husband.

Just depends if accounts on your credit report needing fixed, are joint, co-signed, with the spouse, otherwise if they are all your individual accounts then I agree that it should not affect your husband's credit.
