How can i get a letter stating that if i pay this lane/bryant account this account will be deleted from all 3 credit bureaus?

I had trouble with Chadwicks that lasted over two years over a perchase I proved was not mine. I recieved a "generic" apology but my credit was effected . This was handeled with world financial network national bank . What is my recourse

I had an old Wfnnb store credit card which I believe was included in a past bankuptcy. If it wasn't, can they still send their Asset Acceptance dogs to hound me on a debt that is 17 years old? HELP!
