Where is all this spam mail coming?There is so much spam mail here on the forums I thought it was people posting and when I checked it was spam mail everywhere and then they posted on one of Mike's forums.Now this is what should be considered spam mail,what is going on here?

Ch, spammers are hitting our well organized forum frequently. The technical department has done a programming to stop the spammers from entering here.

But, it seems that they are entering each time with a unique IP and with a different name. I hope the technical department will have a permanent solution for it very soon.

Don't worry. Let's continue to rock in the forums.

Cause like I said when I jumped on last night it was bad they had put like 35 posts just with spam mail alone and I was just wondering where all of that nonsense was coming from!But as always we will keep rocking these forums Very Happy

Well here we go again they are posting spam mail again on our site but just like I told them before that is not gonna stop us from posting on our site we are gonna continue to post no matter what!

Spammers will probably always be around, and they show up in random places. Usually they're bots...made to replicate and otherwise bother the hell out of us. The best you can do is delete it, ignore it, or block it.!

I proposed a "hack" (reputable code) that would prevent this kind of garbage but apparently it was overlooked. This isn't anything new to the forum world. It happens all over the place which is why people have made "hacks" (ie. add-ons) to solve little problems like these.

Who is programming what? I didn't know the debt board had a programmer. These forums are shareware and I assumed everything added on to it was shareware.

I'll help if I can. Just gotta ask. Smile

Already I did the programming for spam control but there is no permanent solution for it. I do not want to make it registered only posting type forum, where you are forced to join before posting, freedom is the key.

In the past days the spam has reduced to a large extend, the fight is on.

This forum is one of the best phpbb forum anyone can have. I have worked hours and hours on its code, making it neater with additional facilities like blogs, better urls, color themes and so on.

Spammers will never win over us Very Happy

As long as there is "free roam" there will certainly be "free roaming bots and spammers." I ignore it, skip over it, etc. It works just fine.

I don't eat pork but I use to eat spam a long time ago but I guess it was alright I don't think I ever liked spam but I have not ate pork for some years now! Wink
