|
On Thursday I got a call unknown from a payday loan company and I didn't answer so they left a message on my answering machine looking for my friend cause she gave them my number as a contact number so when they called the message said this:
This is dave calling with important infrormation about your account it is urgent that you get back to me 5:30 p.m. your time by monday morning or we are gonna have to turn your case over to our attorny's office!
So I gave her the message and she called back and they got really rude and nasty with her and she said they threatened to have her arrested!
Can they do that?

What do you feel? Can these threatening cause legal actions against your friend. I guess not as long as she is willing to pay it. They are just trying to apply some force so that they can make her pay fearfully.
Talk with the lenders and arrange a payment plan. Make sure that it is done in writing through certified mail.

Ben she is willing to pay but just the thought of her being threatened by those people is really wrong cause she is willing to pay the money but with them getting rude like that and threatening her is really not nice!

Ch, ask your friend to take the stronger side of herself and have a direct talk with the lenders. Basically, the conversation should be result oriented.
