The last 2 nights I've gotten calls from this number. Ususally if I dont know who it is, I don't answer. I wait and see if they leave a message. They haven't. Hmmmm. I thought maybe it was a bill collecter....yes unfortunately I owe a few people money. But they wouldnt call me at 10:30pm. So...idk

If someone calls and asks for account information or personal information, then it is a scam. If you were already in the system of a company, they would already have the information needed to process a prize. Next time they call, ask for their business license number, and they will hang up if they are a scam.

I see that these posts are all pretty old, but I just got a call from the 310 number and this was the top site that came up when I Googled it.
Looks like whoever made all these calls is still at it. Unfortunately, I didn't answer but I hope to next time they call so I can tell them not to call again.

Hey all,
I just got ANOTHER call from these people... I got scammed about 4 months ago. Do NOT give them any information and watch your bank accounts like hawks for $1.00 charges, followed by larger ones. Believe me, they already have your banking information so don't give them any reason to use as an excuse to charge you. I had to go through a bunch of crap with my bank and the cops to get this cleared up. The companies show up on your bank statements as "Discount Savings" and "Healthy Living." BEWARE!!!

I just recieved a call from the 310 number as well they did not speak just waited 10 seconds and hung up. This call was to my pesonal cell phone. I googled it and ended up here just thought i'd see what was up. Be Careful of these people.

I was also looking into the 310 number because I received a call this morning while on the other line. The lady spoke perfect english, but seemed far from excited in doing her "job". In the background I could hear a male voice, and throughout the course of my conversation with the lady, I could hear the man actually selling some poor person; "would you like the girl diamond watch?".

I was only slightly cautious at first when the lady mentioned that I was being entered into a drawing -- no warning signs, yet. But then she started saying that I should subscribe to a weekly magazine for about $5/wk. I then informed her that I didn't need this.

I have worked in all several types of marketing, and this is the lowest. Calling unsuspecting people and telling them that they have a chance of winning a bogus prize in exchange for personal info is highly nefarious and possibly illegal [?].

To anyone who gets a call from this number or the numbers listed above, guard your information because the headaches come after your information is stolen.

I started receiving calls about a week ago, I didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number-I have been going round and round with At&T about a phone bill I could not have incurred because I receive my phone services thru my cable company-but thats another story for another time. It, however, was not a 1-800#, and never seemed to leave a message, so I looked around online for more info.

In short its a rip-off company that will tell you that you won some wonderful trip-and/or item, but they need to verify your credit card information(of which they already have the credit card numbers)for one reason or another, then slide in charges-even if you say no thank you, to your card-so plz watch your bank and credit card statements. Some of the charges will be for as little as $1 and range up. My husband once answered the phone, and not knowing he answered a few of their questions, then declined their very kind offer, then learned that our card was charged every other week $50, then a series of $1 charges. We had to change our card and was told by our bank that many of the online companies practice 'sharing/selling credit card information'. So in closing, be careful, watch your statements and if you do any shopping online do so with a prepaid card. Its how I now shop online. Sorry so long.

I got a call from that number too. I answered it and the guy said he was Chris with WWP. He said that because I am a preferred customer with a Visa credit card that the company (where I received my credit card) put me into a drawing to win money and a new car. He wanted to verify my address but i declined and i am not interested in anything you have.

got 5 calls from 310-318-0779 in 2 days, finally answered with a different name and they were very rude stating it was a curtesy call for me, i also got a similar call 2 days ago stating i won a free trip, this is all really shady! what can I do?
