I have caller id and keep getting a call from 888-785-7671 sometimes 7 times a day, Does anyone know who this is? I have searched the internet but found nothing

I searched this number online but seem to find no information about it. You can record the phone calls and inform them that you will send it to your lawyer.

I realize that his is an "older" question, but I did a couple of quick searches and found this info that might be helpful to someone ...
A site called WhoCalled [.] Us says that the number belongs to: Encore; Encore Receivables: Encore Receivables Management
They specialize in "Pre Charge-Off Account Management" and "Primary Post Charge-Off Management".
(...which, I suspect, means that they could be dogging you for a l-o-n-g time, no matter WHERE you are in the debt spectrum...)
They claim 1100 collections representatives in their employ, and have offices in Olathe and Lenexa, Kansas, and Las Vegas.
Their "parent company", Convergys Corp, has been in this business for over 25 years, and is publicly traded - so I suspect that they're "good" at what they do...
Their "primary markets" (IE: types of debt they collect) are:
COMMUNICATIONS - wireline, wireless, cable
FINANCIAL SERVICES - banks, credit card, auto and installment lenders
RETAIL - private label or "store" credit cards and accounts
...if you have accounts due in these areas, suspect that Encore is calling about one or more of those accounts...
My search also turned up mailing addresses for Encore - right here on this forum!
On December 30, 2005, roxette was kind enough to post the company's address, and others contributed information and experiences.

Another quick search, using only the company name "Encore Receivables" (no other variations on the company name were searched) + "COMPLAINTS" yielded 15,400 results...
Perhaps reading such complaints by others could help provide you with ammunition to resist some of their more aggressive behaviors and tactics...

When I am looking for information on who is calling I just go right to google and type in the number. Most of the time it brings something up. I also come hear and put the number in also to see if there is any information on the company. This forum has been the most helpful thing I have ever come across. They are great people here!!
