Hello All,

I just started writing in the forums this week. It is very addicting by the way. Anyway, I guess my story is pretty simple. I am a shop-o-holic, or used to be anyway. I got my first credit card when I was 18 and from 18-23 years old...I basically lived off of it. Its really weird because when you owe like 300...you say to yourself...well I have three hundred on my card already, so whats the difference if I owe 3 or 4 hundred. So you spend a little more. Then hundreds grow to thousands and you say to yourself...whats the difference if I owe 3,000 or 4,000. It's a really bad thought process. So I accumulated a ton of credit card debt and now I am living the poor life...scraping for money and trying to make ends meet with everything in the world getting more expensive every day. It's an adjustment because, like I said, I lived off my credit card and had a care free lifestyle for like 5 years. Man, if I could go back I would do things a lot differently.

I just started a debt consolidation program with the company DebtWave. It has helped me so far, but I am still in the beginning stages and hopefully things will work out. I already feel much better about budgetting and being on time with all my bills now. I think this forum is a great place to get information. Everyone is very helpful and I have been trying to give advice in the areas that I have had experience in and I also think the people here are very nice.

Well...I am 25 years old, live with my girlfriend who is 26, and I have 2 kittens who are crazy. I like to play softball, go out with friends dancing, play cards and just have fun as much as possible. I played softball in college and my position was PITCHER. I loved it. Yes kitties are good...when they are sleeping and cuddling. But I do get very angry with them when they wreck things and act all crazy. Confused

It's nice to have you in the forums. Looking at your financial situation, trust me everything will shape nicely as long as you are giving efforts to improve it. These are just like separating clouds and the bad times will pass away soon. Don't worry about that. Very Happy

So, what are you doing these days? Are you studying..working..??

I am working working working...and also planning my Dad's 60th birthday party. We are doing it on the 29th and having a 1960's costume party. He does not know about it. I created a slide show on my computer and we are going to show it at the party. It should be a fun night.

Not much else is going on. Softball is over and it is getting cold out Crying or Very sad

But I may have another website job lined up soon. Me and my friend who can do a lot of website coding (and I design) met with someone last week who wants a site done. So hopefully he goes with us after we give him a proposal....here's hoping Wink

Well that is good that you are trying to get your life back on track shopaholic!And I am glad to see that you are trying to consolidate and be debt free.It is good to hear things like that and as for myself,yes I am trying my best to get my life back on track and it feels good when you can see a positive outcome of things that happen in your past but remember never regret anything just forgive yourself and try to forget!Cause if you regret things then you would never be able to learn because life teaches us many mistakes and obstalcles that we have to overcome and that is how we learn its better to live life learning then not knowing at all thats why you "learn" from your mistakes well good luck and wish you the best in the future on your debt and may god bless you!
