What state are you in and how long have you been paying on this loan? You can put a stop debit on your account or close and open a new account. I would also recommend you file a complaint with your AG's office.

sjm marketing is a scam pay day loan ,, I had a $390.00 loan and expected them to withdraw the
whole amount as origninally planned , but no instead t
the decided to keep taking out $90.00 every 2 weeks
and then they would not take my phone calls and
also sent them a letter they still ignored me...
I then stopped payment after they already took out
$1200.00 dollars so they changed their name and
took out $390.00 more dollars.....all for a $300.00
loan......I had two loans so the other one I payed
over $600 on not realizing they are all the same
company with 10 or more different names so as you can
see they have taken well over $2000.00 from my account so i closed account completly and then
they have a phone number in Ny 718-715-0846
that call and say the police are coming to arrest
me ! And to top it off you can't even understand them
the speak a foriegn language...

Please beware of this company. I made an inquiry about a loan and did not agree to or sign anything. This company began drafting mony out of my acct and I have had a very difficult time even tracking down where the money was going. I have made multiple inquiries and this company has refused to provide me with any paper work so I am forced to file fraud charges to disable the draft that keeps recurring. The individuals who handle calls will not call you back and are not professional in the dealings with individuals. BEWARE. I have found it is easier for these companies to draft money than it is for a customer who owns the account to stop them.

I received a message yesterday from a payday loan company saying that they were a police officer, and i needed to call back right away, or i was going to be arrested. When i called today, they told me it was regarding a payday loan, first they said that they were the supervisor, then they said they were the FBI and were going to charge me with mail fraud from a online payday loan if i dont pay them $450 by tomorrow. At the same time i got this payday loan from SJM, money turned up missing from my account and it was closed with several overdraft fees. I believe it was this company taking money out of my account. Is it possible to get charged with mail fraud from a payday loan. They are also charging me $450 when the loan was $200.

they broke the law five ways from sunday with that call.

1)stating they were the police or FBI(most illegal)
2)stating you would be arrested(again illegal, debts are civil matters)
3)SJM is an illegal ipdl that has no legal recourse.

file AG,and FTC complaints against SJM and this place that called and threatened you.

I also received the same type of phone call. And one better, they spoke to several of my co-workers telling them I was in big trouble. I asked for written documentation of the debt - they said they would call back at my home. Haven't heard from them - it's been 24 hours. I asked that they not call at my work - that was illegal. Any suggestions?
