I am sorry to hear about your problem. However, I do not work for this forum. This is a forum discussion where people help others with debt consolidation, and various other debt and credit issues and questions, etc.

We have been receiving many calls from an Alley and others from this (866) 432-0241. NOt only are they rude but in addition they call way after hours. Our last phone call was received 11/18/05 @ 10.15 pm. I already placed a phone call with a local govt agency that will reverse search this # and set up a sting operation to fine these people $10,000 for violating the DO NOT CALL LIST and VIOLATE COLD CALLING GUIDELINES. Every time they call my phone begins to tape these calls and then they get sued for 10k. Sign up on line it costs 29.95 a year to join but speak with your local gov't officials to take frther action like we did. Hope the job pays you well Alley (if that person really even exists)...

imon2u,

As you have recorded the phone calls, now you should think of presenting it to your lawyer for filing legal charges. Since these calls are resulting in violations of the Do not call list, you need to take some legal advice.

Also, file your complaints at the FTC and the BBB as well as the state attorney general office. I hope this results some immediate actions.

collection agencies do not have to follow the 'do not call' lists. those lists are for sales and solicitation calls. in several states you need permission from all parties to record a phone conversation. if you fail to obtain permission and you're in one of those states, you are violating federal law.

This phone number belongs to a company called mortgage pointer. There main number is 800 536 0000.Call and ask for the sales manager.I told him that I would never use his company services due to the rude and obnoxious phone calling.

carolyne, if you keep getting 'hang ups' it could be because of their dialing system. if you called in and asked for them to stop calling you, how are they supposed to know who you are? odds are, they making hundreds if not thousands of calls each day. you need to call them back, id yourself, ask why they have been calling you, then take care of it properly from there on. if they are collecting a legitimate debt, they have every right to call you. if you id yourself and they have the wrong #, they need to take your # out of their system and not call you again.

I have the same problem and the last call was at 10:45 in the evening... When I asked the stupid lady why she was calling me so late her response was that I didn't answer my phone earlier. Are you kidding me??? Who do they think they are. I told her to take me off her calling list when guess what... I got another call tonight at 9:21. I called the phone company today and I actually have to pay them to stop these calls. Thanks everyone for your frustration and information on these losers!!!!!

Hi Deanna

Perhaps, you might be getting calls from an automated dialer. Call once again and ask her to give you the mailing address of the company. Once you get this, send a cease and desist letter through certified mail with return receipt requested.

By law, you should not get further calls after the company has received your C&D letter. If they still call, you can take legal actions against them.

Also, submit your complaints at the FTC, BBB and the local attorney general office. We have to send complaints in large numbers so that the company can face legal actions.
