Payday loans are the biggest threats and corrupt the entire budgeting system of an individual. It might be the easiest cash available but the consequences of this unwise decision may be gruesome.

My credo was, "Desperate times call for desperate measures"....but in the case of payday loans, there was a better way out! I just wish I would've known!

I have been dealing with ellis crosby and assoc. not for about a month. I did pay the money that was owed i owed it but i did not pay their fees. I have also gotten intouch with an attorney, however i just received a phone call from another collection agency stateing that i have not paid a dime and hitting me with yet more finance charges. I did send over my receipts showing that i paid but they said that i still owed more money for finace charges. I did however let them know i was paying nothing until they could provide me with proof of the debt. I did pay ellis crosby more than 300.00 and they just kept it. Has anyone else been contacted by another collection agency as of yet. I am really not happy and i think my attorney will have a hay day with one. Thanks for listening and if you guys have any advice please let me know.

No, you don't need to call them back. If you read the various posts regarding Ellis Crosby in this forum, you will get very useful information on how to deal with them.

The membership of Ellis Crosby has been suspended and they are undergoing legal actions from the Office of the Florida Attorney general.

If you have a debt payable, you will have to pay to the original creditors or someone who will be assigned to collect on their behalf. You will not have to pay it to Ellis Crosby otherwise it will not go to your debt account.

Do not get scared as they want to take advantage of your fear. Be strong as they are the one who have been accused.

I was contacted by Collect Edge. Actually very nice people but they told me yes, Ellis scammed me out of my money and that they were then ascertained to collect a debt from me. They offered flexible repayment and they were extremely respectful of my rights and said they had been hearing horror stories all day about folks in the same boat. They did ask me to fax my receipts to them and I did so. I also contacted the loan company, gave them receipts, and they felt badly, and said they'd help me and look into it to ensure I did not pay twice. They also told me that they sent a verification, gave me all requested contact info and went over breakdown of loan and intrest. They were very professional.

It is very nice to reveal the fact that there are still some good companies who are willing to help the consumers and work within the fair law.

Thanks for sharing this information

I've been having issues with Elin-Collectedge, who claim to have purchased my debt from Ellis-Crosby. At first, they were as some of you have said, seeming "nice" to work with. When I questioned the debt, they told me the loan was through "Premier Company" and "BMG Consulting", the same names that Ellis-Crosby kept throwing at me. They called me four times, on Saturday, every twenty minutes, and three times, Monday morning, when I was at work, no one seeming to know that I'd already talked to numerous people. I've sent them a cease and desist as well as a demand for proof of the debt, which they claim, over the phone, they don't have. My DMC can't find any info on them... I, personally, am wondering if they're just Ellis-Crosby, under another name? They claim to be located in India, but have a NJ mailing address... Anyone know anything about them?
