Kathy

Send Sonic some advance money along with a payment plan clearly explained in your letter. They might accept it and offer some other benefits also.

You need to convince them that you will be making regular payments but you might need some time.

I don't know how I've managed all these years to keeppaying on 3 different loans. But now I am 65 yrs. old and unable to keep doing it. What are they going to do to me? Send me to jail? I am in very poor health and worried. Can't sleep. Can you please tell me what to do?

Has anyone had any good results with debt reduction Services? I spoke with someone from this company this afternoon. I have a total of seven loans and she told me that I could pay $314 for 6 months until the loan is paid off. Would this be better than going at it alone? In the meantime, I have canceled my direct deposit to my checking account and I plan on opening another account on Friday.

desperate from Alabama

I am sad that you are going through so much stress at this age. I feel that you should contact your creditors and negotiate for a reduced amount. Do you have funds that can be available from your close ones for some time? If yes, pay the loans off immediately as it keeps multiplying with interests.

They won't send you to jail as nobody has been sent so far. But at the same time, paying the debt is also necessary. So, try to negotiate for a reduced amount and pay if off if it can be done at the earliest.

Regards
Roxette

debt reduction Services does. I just spoke with someone today. She did say, however, that not all payday loan companies will cooperate.

From the info. received from the forum, I called the Florida's attorney Generals office (866-966-7226) to lodge a complaint on a company called prelitigations of america. They keep calling me at work, threatening to take me to jail, etc. etc. for an outstanding payday loan- They sound just like Ellis, crosby & associates.
anyway, I was directed to the dept. of financial services (850-410-9275). They took my complaint, put me on hold to call Prelitigations (904-306-0886): she said they were rude to her and would not give any info. about themselves. She said there was nothing she could do at this point but to advise me if they keep calling, to say I'm filing a small claims court case. The worst part is they keep calling me at work!! I have no address to send a cease/desist letter to or anything.
Anyone have any info. on this company???
Many thanks for all he help I've received in the forums.

Has anyone heard of Accounts Receivable Technologies? If so, are they a legit collection agency?

TrinaH, Ellis Crosby is using different names while contacting the consumers. Prelitigation of America is one such name used by them. So, if you send any correspondence in the address of Ellis Crosby, they are likely to receive it, but you won't be able to prove it as because of different names used by them.

Kathy

Accounts Receivable Technologies is taking over the accounts earlier owned by Ellis Crosby and their business operations are smoother in comparison to Ellis Crosby. They understand the problems of the consumers and those who have paid the money to Ellis, they have to produce their payment receipts to Accounts Receivables. As a result, their accounts will be updated. You can read more on this at the thread given below.

cphalo4, contact your bank and request them to put a stop payment so that further debits are prevented. You can also take the help of your lawyer and sue them for unauthorized debits. Here is the address to contact ameriloan.

I contacted all 3 payday loans. One was very nice and said I could send what I could every month. The other two are going to press criminal charges. I don't have anyone to turn to. I only have SS, $690.00 a month. I'm ready to just give up.
