Hi Folks,

I felt anxious to take some time out from the other forums and relax here in the pub.

I am curious to know how you all will be spending time during Christmas and New Year's Eve.

I want to take a break and can't really decide where to go around? Now, it's your turn to suggest me where should I spend my holidays. I am waiting to hear from all of you. Friends, please plan my vacation. Help!!

Curious-
Roxette

I will be working most of the holiday season, spending christmas eve with my family, and then on christmas,I will sleep in and relax all day.Sounds boring right, but its just what I need after dealing with all those last minute shoppers the day before.

Roxette, are you a warm weather or cold weather person,I know you had a good time in Colorado once,a white snowy Christmas is always nice, with a little romance.

I actually plan on spending the Christmas holiday here at home. However, the roommates and I will be spending about 3 days for New Years in Toronto. We're all excited about it.

I like cold places. Last time, I enjoyed very much in Colorado. I will love to explore a new place this time. Perhaps, I am very curious to go to the beautiful islands of St. Croix, St. John, and St. Thomas, in the Virgin Islands in US. Anyone been there?

Well....this time of year is spent with my family, the wknd prior to Christmas. We come from a VERY large Catholic family, so we have a separate event every year, ever since I was a kid (and I am 38 yrs old!!!).

If you like snow...come to Minnesota! We are getting tons of it today into tomorrow!! (and I mean MAJOR accumulation!!!)

Happy Holidays, all!!!

One of our best vacations ever was spent at Disney World. The best time to go is in the fall - after school starts and avoid major holidays. The first and second weeks of December are awesome!

I have 10 days off between christmas and including new years. My plan is to wake each morning I am off and say, HEY I DON'T HAVE TO GO TO WORK.

Maybe you can stay close to home and do things for yourself that you normally would not do. Kind of play tourist for a few days. Find a buddy and hang out at a coffee bar and go see a movie (King King Yeah!!!). Go see some sights or seek out some neat shops to look around in. Or, just take a day trip somewhere.

Winter vacations are hard for me because I really don't like the cold. I stay close to home and do the day trip thing.

What ever you do, enjoy, relax and bring in the new year with a smile on your face.

I think I can say for us all, thank you for being you! Thank you for helping us with your genuine concern for our well being. You are the best!

Happy Holidays!

Linda, being with a buddy during the holidays is not a bad idea.. I guess, I can convince him for a trip outside.

Gonna spend time with immediate family for Christmas.
Work Monday - Thursday both the week before Christmas and the week before New Years. Then, I start new job at 8AM on Jan 2!

Snow here in Colorado recently. Mostly gone, except the shaded areas. A few flakes in the mountains the last couple days. Here, it's gonna be in the upper 20's to low 30's through the weekend, with a chance of snow Saturday into Sunday.

One question though:
What kind of activities do you enjoy doing??

Keith

I love to explore the nature. I love mountains as well as water. That is the reason I am thinking to visit St. Croix, St. John, and St. Thomas, in the Virgin Islands. But, I am not quite familiar with the place. I have been to Colorado once and loved my stay over there. It's a beautiful place.

Roxette,

For the cold weather you like, and miles of unspoiled natural landscape, Switzerland may be where it's at. I would have suggested Denmark based on my experience, but they urbanized it to death!

Wow!! I really appreciate all your suggestions. I am sure to contact my travel agent at the earliest.

Folks, tell me the places where you have spent the vacation in the past? I will really like to hear from all of you.

Anyone been to Scotland?
