this number keeps calling my cell, atleast everyday, sometimes severaal times a day. It sounds like a message line "I've reached the law offices of gatsworth and ... please leave a message. Ironically you can't leave a message and if you try and call that number it's always busy. Does any one know how to stop this?

I got an actual phone number to call from Oxford management group that put me through to a real person, amazing. the number is 866-822-6749. I have an old cell number for someone who has debt. He said he would take my number off, hopefully this works. their mailing address is:

Gatswirth & Mirsky
135 Maxess Rd
Melville, NY 11747

Hope this can help someone else!

I have been having the same problem, everytime I answer the call it says "transfering to voicemail" and the call goes dead. But I tried the number BSL provided and got right through. They were looking for someone else (I've had this number for 2 years) and said they'd take me off the list. Thanks for the help!

The phone system in our office is unable to block numbers, but with the help of our I.S. Administrator I was finally able to track down an address that seems to be correct. At least I haven't received a call in 2 months since sending an e-mail to them asking if they were the correct company and explaining the situation. The info I have is:

Oxford Management Services
135 Maxess Rd., Ste. 2A
Melville, NY 11747

info(at)oxfmgt.com

The suggestion to ask for a supervisor is unrealistic in my experience. Even if one can get through to talk to a live person, that rep is harrassing, refuses to listen, and will hang up rather than give any identifying information on the company or transfer to another person.

I am getting calls 2-3 times a day from the 866-822-6756 number and they never leave a message. Shortly after that I get call marked private, which I don't answer either. If some wants to get in cntact w/me they will leave amessage. I probably do owe on an account and they have picked it up. However, they should still leave a message.

Don't ignore the calls, pick it up and talk to them. Move legally; ask for validation and so on. If possible try to deal with the original creditor also.

Another forum member Shirley has been dealing with them. You can see the thread to hear from her-

i googled this number because it's been calling me two or three times a day on my cell phone and wanted to find out what was going on, that's what led me here!

i see lots of people have been getting this aggravating call as well.

i've never actually stayed on the line (and judging from the other folks here, i dont think i want to), all i heard was something about "solicited", then there was a bit of silence afterwards. when i actually take the call, this is where i hang up, because first off, i'm a college student, i dont have any money to spend, period, two, i dont pay my cell phone bills, my mother does, as i dont use it often, and three, i have very little patience for computerized messages.

i'm hoping my cell phone provider can do something about this because i get calls on my cell phone multiple times a day, to the point where my roommate and i start laughing because i tell them it's the same damn solicitor. i get more calls from them than i do from my family!

This number 866-822-6756 and also be aware of the corresponding number 866-822-6749. Is a scam posing as a law office and collecting debit. The are in fact dumpster divers calling on old medical records. There is no validity to the harassment.

annoyed Guest,

Calls to your cell phone are illegal because you are having to pay for them (illegall under the fdcpa). Tell them so, and record them. Your cell phone bill is a record of this as well. Take them to court. It means $1000 per violation to you (plus expenses).

oxfmgt.com/

Here is the website for the company that is generating complaints with calls coming from 866-822-6756 that harrass individuals. An voice system identified the caller as Oxford Management and gave this phone number. It does ring thru... 866-419-2681 is an answerable number. You will get a live person. These people are rude. I don't owe any bills that are in collection. We get calls from them two three times a day. I suspect that the calls are related to a cell phone bill that is unpaid by a relative. This company seems to have obtained the cell phone record and is systematically calling all numbers either called or received by this phone. These calls are harassment. The issue of selling or obtaining cell phone records is currently being studied by the Federal Gov't and several state agencies. I intend to contact our State Attorney General on the issue.

Really angry, you're right, they are rude. I have joined a debt consolidation group and they are paying the debts that oxford is collecting for, (Dell financial accounts) instead of them being happy that they're getting money, they're harrassing me even more. I am past the point of being pissed and am in the process of doing something about it. There is a website on the internet, Bud Hibbs, he lists the worst collection agencies to deal with. Imagine my surprise when I found that their name IS NOT on his list!!!!!!!! shirley
