I was online checking my credit report and I seen the CACH LLC on there but never thought anything of it a couple days ago. And today when I was looking at it I never opened any accounts on January 1st 2007. I never opened anything at all since 2005. It says Account Name: CACH LLC Account Number: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Acct Type: Collection Department / Agency / Attorney Acct Status: Closed Monthly Payment: Date Open: 1/1/2007 Balance: $498.00 Terms: 1 Month High Balance: Limit: Past Due: $498.00 Payment Status: Seriously past due date / assigned to attorney, collection agency, or credit grantor's internal collection department Does this look like anything any of you received?

I know i've asked this before but should I have a return receipt when I send something to the CR agency's?

I'll do it regular mail first, and see what happens, if nothing then i'll play hardball. I talked to a lawyer today about CACH LLC & Collect America on my report with the same address. He told me to send collect america a letter stating they need to remove it etc etc, and if they don't then call him back and start some real fun "real fun" exact words lol If anyone wants his number let me know, he's in elk grove, california. _________________ 4 Laptops for sale asking $750.00 OBO send a PM! CACH has filed a civil action against me for a credit card that I never used. I have attemped to call them, but the number is incorrect. What should I do now. The credit card was in my name, but I never recieved any payment notices. This has been since 02/2003.

This is how CACH works Kitty! They never sent me ONE piece of mail either and actually they NEVER called me, i called them! My advice to u is do NOT ignore the citaton sent, answer it, i saw somewhere on here that shows u exactly how to answer the citaton or get an atty to do it for u but wotever u do, speaking from personal experience here, do NOT ignore it! Also, don't call them, do everything thru USPS with return receipt and certified! I'm sure someone will come along shortly and give u a bit more advice on where to go from here but plz DO answer this suit! Ang

Make sure you keep prove of everything. theses people have just froze my bank account for 43,000 thousand dollars when my debit is only 9,000 I have hired a lawyer and we are making head way . they said i made charges on the card. when the redit card was not even valied. keep prove of everthing .

I am having just about all the same problems..the guy from cambece called me and harrased me about the some money that apparently that I owe them. He called and called and I said I would pay the payments on it but I couldnt pay it in full. He said I could only pay it in full and that I should ask my parents for money. I told him that I dont get any help from my parents and that I dont have to money to pay it in full, he told me that he was going to call a lawyer from texas and have an attorney come after me. It has been a couple of months and I have not gotten another phone call. But he called my parents telling them that I told them to call my mom to get the money. Can he do this, why has he not called me and is this an even creditable company. I was frauded and this is how I got into this mess, I dont want to get screwed again. If anyone can help me that would be much appreciated!!!

First of all, let me begin by telling u CACH disappears for a little while but they ALWAYS come back! SO be waiting.... Also, it IS illegal for him to tell ur mom that! What state are u in? How much is ur debt? Be fore-warned that CACH does sue! First thing send them a debt validation letter, make SURE to send it return reciept. I didn't and now they're claiming to have NEVER recieved any of my DV letters but yet they DID happen to recieve my letter to settle with them... YEA RIGHT! SO that is VERY important... Start with the debt validation letter, make them PROVE this debt to u first off You came to the right place for help! Good Luck, ANg

question...about three weeks ago, i got a phone call from a collection agency. they called my cell phone. they asked for my fiance. i told them thatit was not his phone. they proceeded to tell me that he owed a debt of over 900. i talked to him about it and he called them and told them not to call me anymore. they did anyway. they have finally stopped calling my phone. today my fiance received a notice to appear in court from cach llc. what should we do? any advice is appreciated. never been in this situation before.

Ok, did u just recieve a court date? Does it have a citaton with it? Make sure to answer it! If u need any help in doing so, let me know, i have a copy of how to answer and DO show up for court! I'm a bit confused as to what the court date is for. Can u maybe elaborate a bit more? Good Luck, ANg

Since you are not married, I do not believe they had any right to discuss the debt with you. I would have you fiance send in a debt validation letter ASAP. There is a sample letter in DIY section of the forums. Also, send it certified mail with return receipt so you have proof that they received it. If there is a citation, you will need to answer it. The court ususally gives so many days to answer it.
