Not to mention that if you do accept that CC offer the interest rate will most likely be in the 25% area.

Ang,

It looks like I have had dealings with CACH myself...it didn't click though until I was reading some of your previous posts and saw that Davis Law Associates is one of their franchises. I am looking at a PIF letter I received from them dated 1/18/2005 and they also went under CACV of Colorado LLC. I feel so bad because they sent a letter to my old address when I was living with my parents during summer after school when I was a college student. So my mom thought they were going to take me court and have a judgment and she paid them $15000 and both of us didn't know to DV or any rights back then...*sigh* So I may have to call these people and find out about this class action lawsuit!

These people are straight up crooks. The absolute worst thing about these people is all their offices are law firms and they know how to scare the crap out of most people. They play dirty and are sue happy.Ang was wronged very severely by these thugs. I find them worst than other collection companies because they also work the court systems to their advantage.

Yep, not a typo Ang...$15,000!!! I wish it were. Yeah, I will have to contact them and tell my story. My poor mom freaked out when this all happened. It was even more pressure because our family friend had co-signed, so my mom felt more obligated to help me get out of the mess. Sad I don't have the original demand for payment they sent me...maybe my mom does, but I do have the PIF AND that has their name on it!

Oh, looking at the PIF now...it's actually $14,342 and some odd cents...a little less than $15,000 but not by much. Sad

Well, credit report listed the high limit of my loan with BoA is listed at $10,200. And I know I tried to make some payments on it, but not enough to cover the overlimit fees and late fees when I was in a financial mess. So, I know it did go over at least $10,500 or more. But since we never DVed Davis Law on this...I have no idea now how much BoA really charged me until they sold my account. Can I still file with Morgan & Morgan if I live in WI though???

Yeah, I figure at least I paid them and have my confirmation letter, so they won't bother me again...so I have nothing to lose at this point anyway. And if helps people in other states, then that will be an extra bonus.

Zen,
I can NOT get this outta my mind! And i'm SO angry the more i think about it! Evil or Very Mad All i can imagine in my head is these JERKS ^5in after that pay off! The three things i despise in life are: cheaters, liars and theives!! And CACH are all three!! Normally in my "real" life i will NOT tolerate any of these 3 things and i will not associate myself, my family or my life to people who are ANY of the three. Much less all 3 rolled up into one! But CACH got me! SIGHS!
It's times they got what's coming to them.... it's karma.... and it's looking like their time has come! I sure as hell hope so anyway! I will spread the word to every single person i know to go and tell their stories to these attys!
The more the merrier for us!
Very Happy
