Hi I have been by Palisades Collection LLC agency too.
The agency said I owe them 3800 dollars and they put it on my credit report. I have no idea of the account they referring to.
Here is my problem, I am now working in Singapore, and it is impossible for me to get the mail, so I can not get the mail from them. What is the best approach to contact them. If I need to write them a letter, what should I write? I heard it is not a good idea to include your personal information in the letter, so what should I do. Any help is appreciated

If you can send them a certified letter of validation, it makes them provide YOU with information to prove that you owe a debt. You need not supply anything but your name, and a way to send you a letter.

Be careful about these guys. When they call you, your cell phone or caller ID only shows the number 414-8319. If they leave message, they only give you the 1-800-414-8319, sounds like the message cut-off.

When you call this number (better use public pay phone, their answer system will ask youd SSN.

DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO RETURN THEIR CALLS.

I agree, never, under any circumstances share you personal information with anyone. Do not give out your social security number, address, bank account information, workplace, etc. If you divulge information like this, it may come back to bite you in the ass.

I recieved a letter stating that I owe them $950 for an AT&T bill. I had talked to Maria who was very rude and hung up on. I then called AT&T wireless to verify this past due amount. Make a long story short, AT&T can not find me in the system past, present or future. They used my SSN#, and address.
I was a former customer of AT&T and I asked their collections department if I should still be in their system, whether I owed or not, and she said yes that a collection agency will collect for us and we give them a percentage of what is collected. I now have an attorney looking into this matter. To be continued.....

If they have no evidence of you owing a debt, they legally have nothing to validate the debt with. Simply send them a Letter of Validation, via certified mail. This will back them into a corner, and they will either have sufficient information or erase you completely per law.

I recently checked my credit report and noticed that Palisades had put 7 marks on my credit report all for 1 account and all on the same day. My credit score dropped more than 70 points in one month and that is the only change! I can't imagine that it is correct that the same item is showing up 7 times and was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this. I am just starting to build my credit and this is definitely not motivating

You may dispute these 7 marks. Come to my site, and on the side is a link called "sample letters for dealing with collections"

This is absolutely ludicrous! Long story short- AT&T has a monopoly over ALL telecommunications, they just lease lines out to Sprint, verizon, nextel, etc., so no matter where you go or who you deal with, AT&T is deriving a profit from it.They farm out their collections so they don't have to hear it. I've disputed a cingular bill since 2002, made hundreds of calls (TO NO AVAIL, mind you). They don't even list an address. I had to go back to the original collection agency (CBE) and they too had no address. This speaks volumes to me.If I don't receive some kind of satisfaction in this matter, I intend to sue At&T along with each and every collection Co. that has been involved in this matter. I have two special needs children who deserve more of my time than trying to contact a LIVE operator who can resolve this issue.

Monopoly's were supposed to be kept from existing, yet there seems to be so many of them popping up all over the country, and the regulatory commissions are turning a blind eye to them.

My husband is active duty military. We tried to handle this matter in a civilized manner, apparently "Palisades" doesnt conduct in such a way. We came to them wanting to settle the debt and they came at us in a threatening way; wanting to go to his command, etc. I guess its not enough that he's fighting for "they're" freedom.....word to the wise: dont go w/ AT&T.

While your husband is on active duty, you are protected by the Soldier and Sailor Act, which suspends collection activity during his active duty status. Check with JAG or simply send a letter to these crooks stating that they are violating federal law when they make collection attempts at this time.
