Palisades Collection Agency are crooked, I have never been a costumer of AT&T yet they claim that I owe them $550.00 and now it is posted as an open collection agency account with all three credit agencies. I started the dispute process today. I attempted to contact Palisades by phone but was not able to do so, therefore I willdo it by mail. Any advice?

I received notice today that Palisades put a hit on my credit report. I recently paid another credit agency for my AT&T account that was "owed" to them. I stayed on hold for over an hour and got no response. When is someone going to do something about these people??

Palisades is on the list of companies to avoid.

Pallisades collection has found a way to made it retardedly obvious that they are a bullshit company who is only trying to scam money out of everyone they can. do not pay them anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all they do is pretend to purchace your old or delinquent accounts & then force you to pay them instead. Sorry retards....i'm not that dumb. DO NOT PAY PALLISADES COLLECTION!!!!!!! TAKE THEM TO COURT AND MAKE THEM PROVE TO YOU THAT THEY EVEN OWN THE Acct. then take action by stopping all the harassing calls .

I just received a letter from a local attorney that claims Palisades has filed a lawsuit against me with the county. He wants to help me file for bankruptcy. At this point, can a consumer credit agency help me get out of this debt or do I have to claim bankruptcy. If so, since I am married, does my husband have to claim bankruptcy too- even though the debt is mine?

Pat-I am fairly certain that your husband does not have to file bankruptcy with you if that is the option you have left. They may ask about your husbands debts and such but he doesn't have to file.

Who is down for a class action law suit? It seems they have pissed off plenty of people with the same unlawful behavior. I am so frustrated with them I can't see straight!

I have been trying to call the 866 number for Palisades and can never get through, and after 35 minutes on hold, I finally get someone and they can only transfer me to another person who is supposed to be handling my account. I have only been able to get a hold of this person once and no response back after a week of trying to get my account settled.

It is so frustrating!

The same amount of $229.00 for an AT&T wireless bill appeared three times on my credit report. Two from Pallisades Coll and one from Bur Col Rec. I dealt with Pallisades in the past and they cannot verify my debt, yet I still cannot get it off my equifax and TransUnion report. What should I do. Any suggestions.

I got a letter from allied interstate regarding an AT&T bill for $249. I sent them a letter stating I've never used AT&T and never heard from them again. Now Palisades has shown up on my credit report for a Verizon bill for $249. I had verizon in 2001, but is it fair that they put AT&T instead of Verizon. So, instead of clearing this up before my credit is damaged, I have to do it now. What should I do?

Palisades reported that they had purchased an account that I owed ATT in 8/05. I disputed the item in 6/06, the item was removed then, and now 10 months later they put it back.Is this legal? Don't they have 30 or 90 days to respond to the CRA? I really do not owe the debt that they are referring to and would like it to be resolved. Please advise as to what I should do next.

Add to message. The debt thatATT claim that I owe is $3409.72. Now tell me how on earth can one person owe over three thousand dollars in cell phone bills. Palisades need to know consumers are fighting back , and not taking whatever they are trying to do to consumers. Anyone with advise please respond.

Lionezz: send them a letter of validation via certified mail, in which they are required to supply you with a complete, detailed breakdown of how they came to that amount, and the amount must be legal. There are laws that place a cap on how much consumers can be charged.

Lionezz: Also, if you come to my site, on the side, there is a link to 'Agencies to avoid', and this company is listed there.
