Well I got a call from my counselor from T & C and my first payments were mailed to some of my creditors. This makes me feel so much better. Sonic was also send a payment even though we've been going round and round with it. I also received a call from the gal from mypaydayloan.com because I asked for the contracts and such. I also told them I hadn't closed my complaint against them with the consumer protection office. She kept asking me questions as to why and who I'm sending this information to. I said I found out some information regarding state laws. But they are international laws and governed by the laws of costa rica. According to her, state law has nothing to do with it. It kind of cracked me up because I said I want to know what my rights are as a consumer. I also mentioned that I have requested all the same info from all my creditors. She was all worried who I was going to send the info to. I said right now it's for my own purpose. I said payments would still be made at this time through my debt consolidation company. I also said I was at work and I hadn't read the e-mail she sent to my home. I can't access that info from work and I would talk to her another time. Then I get the speel about getting out of the loan all over again. I said if I was, wouuld I be paying through my debt consolidaiton company and they would be sending payment to you on the 5th? Honestly, I want to forward this info to try and help in getting stricter laws in Ohio.

msmishele30, it is expected that some creditors will call you till they are assured of receiving payments from you regularly. These calls might last for a couple of months.

If you inform them that your consolidator is handling the accounts for you and he should be contacted further for any queries, they should not call you anymore. Basically, you should try to avoid entering into conversation because it might result in mixing up of words between you and your consolidator with the lenders.

Do they have a website I can check out? I am at work and have a few nosey office-mates that love to gossip. I would rather call from home, but in the mean time I would like to see a website, if they have one.

I came to that conclusion myself today, David. I feel like I'm getting more frustrated and it's my own dang fault. I received a call from one creditor on my lunch hour stating he had not received a proposal from T & C yet. I told him they would call him today and he was fine with that. The ones that I'm arguing with are the ones that I filed complaints against with the consumer protection office. My debt counselor is aware the of the situation. It does cause a headache though.

Well, what a day. One company is going to accept two payments from me, one at the end of this month and one at the end of February. They are sending me a letter this week to validate this and that it will be marked as "paid as agreed". I said I would sent payment after I receive the letter. And after going round and round with mypaydayloan.com today, they have agreed to accept my first payment from T & C as paid in full. Of course, you have go through the BS to get this. I didn't back down. They faxed me a letter today and also faxed it to the attorney general's office. I will close the complaint once the account is marked paid as agreed and no negative information is reported to any credit bureau. I also made them state that there will be no future activity from them, a third party collection agency, any attorney, or any affiliate of theirs Smile. So one has been paid in full earlier, one I got a refund from, and one will be paid in full at the end of February, and one was settled today Smile

I've been with T&C one month now and am still getting calls from the credit card companies, in fact, they've been worse than the payday loan people. They keep calling and wanting me to pay something. I tell them I'm with a debt management company. I know I've told one of them about 4 times now. I know they've gotten the proposals because I've already gotten letters from two of them accepting the proposals. One guy was really persistent, had to tell him 4 times I was with DM. He told me that my account will always show up on my credit report as delinquent if I didn't pay them then and there and he got rather nasty, about as bad as a CA. The accounts that have accepted the proposals have reaged the account, dropped interest, fees, etc. Are these people ignorant or do they just not have good communication within the company?
