I actually called the number that I had for Sonic's new loan department and asked do you also do loans for MyCashTransfers, and they replied yes. It's all the same when it comes to the company handling payday loans. For anyone wanting more information about how the company began, an anonymous poster had this to say:

So- if these people ARE Sonic- would it be safe to say that they will indeed accept payment from T&C. In other words- if they send it- they would accept it? And if they accept it, then I am on the right track, correct?

I'm not sure how the operations of Sonic and the call center work. Sonic is the name of the payday loan place, however the call center is called something completely different. They answer calls for all those "clients", but if that thread...it was Mr. Ash who opened the business. They could just be avoiding the situation all together when it comes to consolidation. It all depends on who your counselor gets when they call, I suppose.

I too have currently defaulted on a loan to these people, I have the address but they keep calling from British Columbia but as you all have found out, the address is in Oakes PA. The Bank they supposedly go through is in Malta. I have contacted the Attorney Generals office to investigate where they are really from and who runs it. I offered to pay it in full by money order or cashiers check but they say that they don't do business that way. Why would a creditor refuse payment in full? Just as a heads up, the BC number they are calling from is: 604-587-6200' Just send them the money order and if they refuse, you at least have proof to the courts that you attempted to settle. Make sure you send it cerified mail, that way someone has to sign for it and you'll have a name. The money orders can be traced online. Don't give up hope'

It is known to all of us that Cash Transfer Center is a scam. Why should we send money when we don't know the actual loan amount? They make unauthorized debits in the bank accounts without proper documentation. The FTC and the attorney generals have already huge complaints against them. At this point, it is necessary to pay the amount that has been actually borrowed. They want us to pay something that is disputed. We can't send them that much amount that does not have any basis. Every one has a different situation. You have to handle the case in your own way and stay away from this company.

I too am dealing with Cash Transfer Centers. They are a nasty bunch. I got a letter from a PO box in Oaks PA. I know I have overpaid, but getting them to send me a statement of my account has proving to be very difficult. They do not want to make payment arrangements either. FYI, they call from Ontario, Quebec and another number that just comes up British Columbia call. They try to be pretty sneaky. I als tried to reply to an email that the "Manager" sent, but it comes back with an error. If anyone has a fax number for them, please share it.

Thanks

All I know is that my company told me that unless it is court ordered, it is not considered legal and they would not honor it any other way. And in order for it to be a legal court order, the company has to be legal. I too got a call yesterday, first from a male demanding I tell him when I was gonna pay. I told him that I had over-paid on my loan according to my state's PDL laws and was demanding a refund and consider me "Paid in Full." He was livid with me and demanded to speak with my supervisor. I told him "one moment" and left him on hold so long he hung up. Then a female called and tried the same tactic and I laughed so hard at her she slammed the phone down. I also told her she was being recorded and to keep talking because I needed all the info I could get on her and CTC. I know they will call back again, but what they don't know is that all calls come through me......ha ha ha

Dduvall...Call your payroll dept RIGHT AWAY!!! Some companies honor them, some do not!! I am a payroll rep at a company that does honor them. These are voluntary, and you can revoke it at any time. tell your payroll person you're going to revoke it, and write a letter stating your name, the name of the creditor, and the amount of the debt..Then write that you revoke any and all wage assignments. If you need help, do a search on the forum on wage assignment revocation letters. You need to also send a copy to Sonic, but make sure your payroll dept gets it first!!
They will not garnish you. there is no way Sonic can get a judgement to garnish..they operate illegally. If you need any help with this please contact me, I can help you..

BTW...Wage assignments are NOT illegal, there is a protocol that must be followed when sending them, and frequently pdls don't follow it. An inexperienced payroll person could easily get confused, when I saw my first one I didn't know what the heck to do..Get that revocation letter out ASAP.

No they will not deal. They do not want to accept partial payments. They threaten to call your payroll department. They threaten to call your boss. Stay away if at all possible.
