American Financial
The same number had been calling me for about a week today I answered the phone and I got the same man saying the same thing about American Financial luckily I was running late for work and I was so distracted at the time I barely even registered what he said. After constantly asking questions and repeatedly telling the man that I had not applied for anything from American Financial he hung up on me; thankfully. Please make sure that you do not give these people any personal info!!!!!

They called me too trying to get my information, and i gave it to them, but immediately from reading this web site I went and closed it out and open up a new one. So they will be shocked when they go into my account information.

I gave them a shot of their own medicine
1-866-538-7581. this is the number who called us and said they were American Financial (website americanfinancialcard.net)and wanted to give us a $2000 card (not a credit card). I asked the girls name and said I would call them back. I called back and got a different girl, and she said the exact same thing the other girl had said as if they read from the same script, well needless to say they gave me the run around and would not put me in touch with the original person. So as i am talking with her I am on their website reading the "terms and conditons" OMG, if that doesn't say, "I am going to bend you over and take your money", I don't know what does. She could not answer my questions clearly and stammered several times. I told them I would talk it over with my wife and hung up. So check this out, here we have them calling us first, then i called them back, got through easy enough with the same number. Now i am suspicious and they call me back and now its a man. could not get either of the first 2 operators back to talk with. They kept saying they needed to verify our checking account, needing both the acct.# and routing #. I said let me check out your website and ill do this on-line. Guess what, their web site is currently being updated, how convienient. lol!
The wife and I had recently changed financial institutions and had a checking account still "active" but no funds were in it, we had already moved the money to the new account. So I gave them the #'s to the empty account. They ask me to hold on while they verify it. Then i'm told that they are haveing problems with thier computers and would call back tomorrow and continue the verification process. As I am chuckling under my breath, my suspiscions were right. Truth be known, they verified the account right then and there, lied about thier computers messing up so as to call back tomorrow. As soon as we end our phone call, I try to contact through the same number,(the one I was able to get through so easily) and now only got a recording. Hmmmmmmm? I just left the phone on and walked away from it and 4 hours later the same recording was still playing. Hmmmmmmmmm? I call the bank and yup, they tried to get funds. Hmmmmmmmm? lol! lol! The bank did not honor it! Tried to e-mail them at thier customer service address and got a "failure to deliver" in my e-mail. Hmmmmmmmm? THE MORAL OF THE STORY. They didn't get nothing from us and I can only hope that they feel as scammed and ripped off as I would have felt had I not been suspicious. And I hope my letter here brings awareness to light and prevents alot of people from getting scammed. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM |

SCAMMED!
I have been completely scammed with this American Financial card. I was mislead about what the services were. I called today to get a refund and they told me there was nothing I could do other than write to the Department of Consumer Affairs. I have every intention of following up with the Better Business Bureau and will go Federal if need be. I would be interested in getting a further response from anybody that has also been scammed to build a case against this company. I am also going to contact my local news "Problem Solvers" to further investigate this so called company. Please reply as i would like as much back up as possible and if there are enough of us I think we could bust this company up!!!

SCAMMMMM
This man called for my husband today and wouldn't tell me his name or why he was calling. I told them that my husband was at work, and he quickly hung up. So I called their number back but they wouldn't answer. Anyways I tried again later and a man answered and said his name was "Allen", I asked him why he was calling my house, and he said that I was approved for a credit card. Well I told him that I was advised that this was a SCAM and I asked him not to call my house again. He kept trying to get my information asking if I had a bank account, I again asked him not to call anymore and I hung up. He called right back and called me a BI%CH!!!!
Good Luck to all of you. |
