How exactly does this point thing work? I've read where people has paid off bills with their points. I would appreciate it if someone could explain it. It sounds like a great deal. Thanks.

You get points for posting answers and questions; basically communicating with everyone. As you get more and more points (they add up), you cash them in. I just received a payment last week.
If you search the forums, you will find a whole section on the process and how it works.

It's a great time, c38nfrnt!  Since we're all here to get our lives back on the right track, you basically get paid for your time..The extra $$ comes in very handy when you're trying to get caught up.

You may be aware that you earn some points while posting in the forum. These points keep on adding to your user account. (Like, now I can see that you have 28 posts with 1163 points in your account). As a normal user, you earn 1 cent for each point. Once you wish to redeem these points, send a PM to Mike or Denny and they will do the needful redemption. The details have been posted here:
