Can a credit card agency change a payment due date without your permission? My interest rate recently increased after I was late one day, I requested my due date for the 21st, but the cc company changed it to the 15th somewhere along the way and I never realized it.
I too went through debt fright,

Well, first of all I don't think they can increase your interest rate if you are only one day late, there is usually a 5 day grace period due to bills just sitting there not being posted to accounts. Credit card companies have actually had class action law suits against them for doing that, and lost. It is a money making scheme for them.
Also, in my experience you should either recieve notification of the due date change, or they need your permission to do so. I would ask them to send you proof of either of those happening.
Sounds to me like you got scammed to get more money out of you.

Guest,
Credit Card Company should have informed you before changing your due date. If they could not accept the due date on 21 st they should have notified you at the first place.
IMO, contact them and ask for clarification. Since they are doing business, they have to follow some business manners as well. Keep us posted.
