Anyone heard of True Logic

I just got a letter today from a collection agency True Logic Financial Corp out of Englewood, CO. The creditor shows as Credit management Group. All they sent me was a letter without any supporting detailed information. I don't know who Credit Management Group is. I guess I will be sending out a letter on Monday.

What is the purpose of the letter? Have they mentioned any debt amount? BTW, Credit Management Group is listed as a Credit Repair Company with BBB. They are also known as Paralegal Credit Services. Did you ever have any deal with them?

You must send a letter to the CA asking for the information that might help you. also mention that you do not know this creditor and did not have any interaction with them in past. Keep us posted.

P.S. send it via CMRRR.

If I'm not mistaken 'credit management group' is a collection agency that collects on medical debts. So you might have a collection agency collecting for a collection agency. I have a couple of accounts that way.

I have been getting messages on my answering machine, every day, for the last three days. They keep telling me that it is urgent that I call, and give them a refrence #. They never say it is True Logic Financial, until you call...on the answering machine, it is just some woman named Jennifer.. Problem is, Jennifer never leaves a reference number. I called them, at about 2am, knowing there wouldn't be anyone there, just to see who they were. The are pretty quick to direct you to make a payment, not telling you how much you supposedly owe, what it is for, or who the hell they are. There is an option to leave a message. I left a message telling them to quit calling, untill they can actually leave a reference #, tell me how much I am supposed to owe, and why I owe it. I can't recall anything that I have not paid, or made arraingments for.

from "Liz" @ True Logic. They are trying to "collect" on an alledged, old AT&T bill that I've disputed off and on since 1999!!! I told her that I disputed the charges and that she needed to send something to me, in writing, before I was going to proceed further.

Great idea on the CMRRR Stan!!!!

For the past year I been getting calls from that company as well. I believe its for an ATT Cell phone bill that's past the SOL. I don't answer it just in case the SOL is around now. It's not on my Credit report any longer so dunno. The last few days they been calling more often and as a real person instead Unknown number, out of area, etc I like to think that they are acting like salespeople and trying to get that last bit of commission in before the end of the month.

Remember, SOL gets renewed only when you make a payment towards the account or a commitment to pay the debt. Other than these two facts, nothing can renew the SOL period. I will like to check the SOL in your state where this account was opened and the date you last paid on this account. I am assuming that it is past the SOL period. In this case, don't ignore the collection calls. Because, the company will take advantage of this ignorance and push the matter to the court. Seeing your avoidance, the judge might force you to pay this account.

I will suggest you to talk to the person and get their purpose in writing. Notify them in writing that the debt is past the SOL period and hence you are under no legal obligation to pay the account. Doing this, you will cover your basis and there will be proof of this matter being taken care. Send your letters certified and keep everything documented in a file.

Yeah I'm just not 100% sure when the SOL will run out on the debt. The bill is for like 200 dollars. So my best way is to send a validation letter to the company in order to see what they have listed at my last payment date? At the end of the last few months, I been getting the live callers but they don't leave any messages. Right after the new month starts the Recording messages start back up again.

Responding to your debt validation request, the company should put the following information in writing.

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/validation.html

In some cases, the CAs are not necessary bound by law to give everything in details. But if you put a request, it should be honored. Send your letter certified with return receipt requested.

Just because you dispute a debt doesn't mean you still down't owe it. You can dispute all until you are pushing up dasies. The original debt holder will either validate it or they won't. If they can't then of course it must be removed within a 30 day time period. If they do validate it and state you owe X amount of money then you have 2 choices. Either hire a lawer to get it removed (not always successful) or pay it.

I have been harassed by repeated phone calls from them for the past four months. They are a debt-collection agency (and also a purchaser of bad-debt portfolios). In my case they are trying to collect a $350 debt for someone called Vernon Mason whom I have never heard of but who may have lived in my apartment complex at some time in the past.

If they annoy you and you can't get them to stop, why not flood their toll-free 800 number with calls? I've done this myself and was such a nuisance to them that I found myself blocked after about 30 calls. For every time they call me, I call them four or five times, intending to run up their phone bill and tie up their agents. One good harassment deserves another. Fight back!

Have been getting calls everday, recorded. Then received a bill. Called the company said I had to fax for info. I have never received any other bills. Know I have no outstanding accounts.
